On the thread "Gravity feed to city pressure". Softsuds was talking about building his own ss equiptment. I posted some pictures of the equipment I built a few years ago.
A couple of days ago I was having a problem with the speed controller on my laser 4000. It is about 12 years old and has never been changed. The error on the sceen on the controller was E.FAn. I called my local technician and he came and replaced it. The one that I took out was made by...
A friend of mine called and asked if I could help him with a meter that has a pin lock and he has lost the key to it. The coins are falling into a secure box but the rotary switch needs tightening. It is looking like it will have to be drilled out. I was thinking someone might know an easier way...
A couple of years ago at my other wash my GC stainless steel solenoid manifold block on my tire cleaner blew out. The stem that screws into the ss that the solenoid is attached to is made of copper. The tire cleaner had eroded the copper threads and the stem popped out letting water shoot across...
I'm starting to replace my door decals on my combo vacs and do away with the oil in the display and replace it with water and food coloring. What a mess. I am so tired of that oil. The bubblers have been turned off for several years but the oil still oozes out. The decal was fairly easy to get...
At this wash I have Dixmor 3 timers that work flawlesly. At one time they were set to display 1 IN,2 IN etc. and that confused them thinking they had two minutes, etc. so I changed them to read minutes and seconds for each quarter. About two or three times a week a get a dumb ass calls and he...
My twelve year old Laser has quit send out a page. I disconnected the phone wire and replugged it thinking it might have some corrosion but it didn't help. The pager works fine. Any suggestions?
I installed a flow-jet pump with viton seals on my tire cleaner and one week later it started leaking air from the muffler. Usually I just toss these things but I would like to repair it if I could.
My Laser 4000 could use some new foam on the arch. Will the blue foam used on the G-5 work on the 4000? I remember seeing it at the show and it seems the arch had an extra piece welded on to it that the foam was fastened to.
This pump is close to 20 years old and started pulsating. I`m currenly running 12 of these and I`ve had similar things happen to some of the other pumps but had never been into this one. I pulled the head and found one of the seals had gone bad, the head looked good, no wash out grooves. I...
My Hamilton autocashier will still take customers money after the spay arch has been hit and the machine is disabled. The read out will say car wash closed, but they won`t read that and will put their money in and loose it then call me. At that time I`m either on the road or trying to get my...
For the last couple of weeks the Laser has been shutting down due to the spray arch touching the passenger side of the car. So far there has been no vehicle damage. I have the virtual treadle and it seems to loose its memory. It`s doing it on spot fee rinse. Any help would be appreciated.
It`s late Sunday evening and I`ve just recently found out my Laserwind dryer is not coming on. I did a quick check to see if any breakers were tripped and I didn`t find anything. When I test it the nozzels will move but the dryer doesn`t start. Also the relays in the electrical panel on the...
