Biggest Pet Peeves --- and solutions

Has anyone ever considered getting rid of the trash cans???? I am thinking about it but am too close to selling so I don't want to make waves for a new owner.

Hamilton ACW4 - Cleaning the plastic?

Sometimes I use one of those polishes for headlight covers on a drill with a buffing pad. It works pretty well. I did replace the lexan once and they look a lot better but they still at times need a buffing. I also use laquor (sp) thinner a bit where the credit cards scratch the face. I rub it...

Looking for Concrete Sealer that works

Not sure why you would need to seal but Euclid products have good sealers and support. They have them that coat on top like a varnish (would be slippery) or the penetrating kind. I use them at home to help slow the damage of salt. The coating will come off with snow removal. The penetrating kind...

    Docking dryer problem

Have had an issue with the Laserwash 4000 docking dryer lately. The dryer only travels not quite to the rear of the vehicle. Leaves a couple feet not dried. Techs, PDQ, etc have any idea why this is happening. Y41 & 40 seem to be operating fine. The only thing that will change the distance it...

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

I use Kleen Green at 1 wash and Sonic from Kln Rt at another. I switched to the Sonic because the Kln Rt Purple Passion always "snotted" up and plugged up the foot vlv. The Passion was a better product than Sonic. I am switching this wash over to the Kleen Green. I mix 30 gal of soft water w/25...

    Mars Bill acceptor

Speaking of Mars, who does service them. I will not send them back to the supplier. I sent them a Standard hopper recently and it was gone about 6 weeks. They just sent it to Standard which I could have done myself.

    Waters spots after SFR.

I have had a minor problem with this same issue with a dark colored truck. The truck is mine and have only had it a few months. I am still not 100% sure but I believe the wax was being applied to heavily and wasn't getting totally rinsed off. Not a problem w/my old truck. I don't use the dryer...

    SS Ceiling booms

Does anyone have any idea where I could find a good SS 360 deg bay boom that the hose goes all the way from the gun to the swivel and the swivel is easy to replace? Most of the booms I have looked at have a separate hose from the swivel to the end of the boom and a fitting that the bay hose...

    Rebuilding a pit

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I think I have at least solved the problem temporarily. I welded approx. a 1/4 to 3/8 inch steel strip on the bottom of the angle steel that hold the grate in place. For now the grate does not move around so much on the concrete ledge so this hopefully will stop...

    Rebuilding a pit

Cutting the old pit out and replacing it would end up being a problem with the floor heat. The heat is a problem with any cutting unless it is low enough in the pit. The diamond plate may work but part of the problem is that the ledges that were originally formed for the grate are a bit small in...

    Rebuilding a pit

I have a pit that is about 42in square. The one side gets the passenger side tires of smaller cars and therefore is wearing the edge of the concrete ledge down. Any suggestions how to enlarge this ledge where the grate rests. There is already a steel angle the whole perimeter of the pit that the...

    Ordered Cryptopay today

I take it the consensus is that taking CC in ss bays is a good thing? The question isn't that the customers use it but does it add revenue. Also the same question applies to adding bill accepters plus does taking bills in the bays add to the problem of damage/theft?

    Cameras again

I have read a bit on cameras off and on over the years but have not kept up. It seems that the "big box" store systems are cropping up more and more in the forum. Are they really as good of quality as others that used to be the "go to" systems? I need something with good quality picture, easy...

    Foam Brush Woes

Here's a good one for you. Do you have a water softener? If so is the water soft. If my water isn't softened for whatever reason, it affects all my chemicals but it is especially noticeable in the foam brushes. They will spit and sputter and throw liquid all over the place.

    Drs conversion

Has anyone converted a Hamilton DRS with XE validators over to Mars validators. Are there any regrets? I think I was strung a couple weeks ago and would like to make some changes. The security on the DRS "SUCKS".

    PDQ LW 4000 rail question.

Could be a few things. Tire pressure is the first choice. I run about 30lb. Too little can give trouble along with too much. They are supposed to be at 25. Both tires should be the same size as per PDQ. 4.50/etc etc??? Is the tire badly worn? They should be the "knobby" type tire and not the...
