1 Year Anniversary! Not Bankrupt Yet!

I recently celebrated my first year in the business! One of the first things I did after we closed on the wash was increase prices to what I thought the market would bear. This was over the 4th of July weekend in 2021 and I was declaring independence from low prices, haha! I figured that if I...

    Paystation Replacement

Funny thing, as soon as I placed the order for the new door from IDX, the AC8001 started working great. It's been working great for 9 months, and I'm hoping it continues until I get the IDX dealio...

    NAYAX Questions

I went with 2 bays of NAYAX VPOS Touch as a test last year. They're ok, but I'm not converting all my bays over (currently the other 4 are WashGear). I've had to swap a couple bad units, but NAYAX was pretty good about sending me replacements under warranty. I ended up buying a couple extra...

    Nayax timer question

I run Nayax in 2 of my bays with TM-5CU timers.

    Paystation Replacement

I saw the "New Door" in Vegas, loved it, and placed an order. Unfortunately, I'm yet to receive/install it. What's the nightmare, and is he on this forum?

    Question for nayax users...

Sorry, but I have no experience with Dixmor timers. I am very happy with my Timemaster units. When they fail, I send them to Colorado to be repaired and it's normally about $100 to repair. Not bad, as new ones are about $350 if I recall correctly.

    Question for nayax users...

Mine are paired with TM-5CU timers and do count up. There's a configuration file that tells the unit what to charge, in my case it's $3 to start and $1/minute.

    IBA Average Daily Cars Washed

I'm averaging about 12cpd. Good days are 25-30. Bad days are 2-3. Best day ever was after a freak weather "mud rain" day, 135 or so for the next couple days. Downside is that I had to reset the machine about 10 times in 2 days. Some drivers just can't follow simple instructions.

    Cryptopay card payments

I'm very happy with my Nayax units. I put them in 2 bays to test and will probably switch over the other 4 this year. Nothing wrong with the Washgear that's there now, but I like the ability to pay with just about anything that Nayax offers.

    Floor heat renewal

Thanks so much for sharing! I may have to be doing this to my wash and it's great to know about this product and your method of doing the demo and install.

    Floor heat renewal

Wow, that looks great! Could you describe the work? Was it an overpour of the existing system? Or was the old stuff ripped out? How long did it take? Was it a DIY project? Thanks for putting Crete-Heat on my radar!

    Does Token incentive actually work?

Yes, and I'm happy to do it. I still only average about 100 tokens per vault with about 800 quarters. Factoring in the shrinkage due to token losses, I'm happy with the whole deal and I know my regulars like it.

    Paystation Replacement

Stoked to hear about a "new door" product from IDX. Hopefully they will be in Vegas so I can learn more. I like the idea of 7k way more than 20k, LOL.

    Does Token incentive actually work?

Instead of bonus tokens, I give customers 1.25 credit per token in the bays. This incentivizes token use and it's fairly successful in my opinion. My rationale is that I'd rather deal with fewer quarters, so it's a win-win. At $3/start and $1/minute it's quicker for the customer to add tokens...

    AC 8001 with NAYAX?

Anyone out there upgrade their AC 8001 paystation to have a NAYAX VPOS Touch? I'm now becoming a fan of NAYAX and would like to speed up the slow process of accepting cards at my paystation. It seems like it would be easy enough with a Pulse, but maybe even an MDB would be able to work...

    Quick vending question

Ripped down all the blind drop vending and put in a used Crane glass front machine. Paid $2k for the machine and seriously doubt that it will ever pay for itself. Meh....gives my kids something to do, so it's worth it.

    Paystation Replacement

I currently have an American Changer paystation (AC 8001) and am having some issues that make me want to just rip it out and replace with something that has better tech support. What does everyone recommend? It's connected to a Belanger Kondor Single Arm if that matters. Ballpark pricing...

    High pressure system

This same thing happened with me. It was a bad timer. I use TM-5J's and luckily had a few spares so it was no biggie. The fact that the customer told me about it gave me the opportunity to thank him with a bunch of free tokens as well. Would have hated to find out via a Google review...
