Tire & Wheel Cleaner / Tire & Wheel Brush options.

Waxman set up looks great only thing I will say is I tried those hooks from KR before. They wont work if the customer places the brush head towards the wall. Wouldn't be a problem for people who actually use their brain but most dont. People would just leave the brush on the ground when it was too complicated to figure out that they need to turn the brush around. Jim Coleman sells SS J hooks for foam brushes. I cant remember how much they were but im sure more than KR, it’s worth it because they work and are idiot proof plus you don’t have to worry about the brush being run over. The J hooks extend out from the wall. Ill attach a pic its not the best because I cropped an old pic but you can see how the J hooks protrude and extend the brush away from the wall. Just a thought.
i never would have thought, having the KR J-hooks would be SO difficult for people to use. boy, was i wrong.

Disappointingly, no.
Like Waxman, other projects have claimed top status in past few weeks.
I can report that for several years I had been wondering if I could assemble a low-pressure panel for less than what KR and others charge for theirs.
Most of these parts were sitting on my inventory shelf, so I went ahead and answered the question that was pending in my mind.
Here's a few pics of the parts pile and a mock-up of the 3 bay low-pressure system that costs approx. $800.00 to put together (KR sells theirs for $2083)
This will run the tire cleaner system. I have all needed parts present for the complete install and just need one.... quiet..... day.
If the customers respond positively, my 6 bay will get the same treatment.
If there's any interest in this build, I may put it over on the "creative fixes and work arounds" section (it's pretty straightforward).
please do, i have no doubt i can do this, but would like to compare materials list to others.

thanks,

Its a new feature at our wash so ita usage is pretty low and the soap will probaly go bad before i have to reorder it uses so little.
I was going through my signs today and found I had a few of these from when Cali West was still in business.
It reminded me that what we have isn't just for wheels and tires but that we need to train our customers to use it for the floor mats too since the brush is stiffer and the soap is stronger.

why would you have a sign for your customers to use the wheel brush that has dirt and break grime on the bristles to scrub their carpet mats? Doesnt make any sense.

i saw a customer open the driver door to his car and start to brush the floor of the car. the timer had run out, so no chemical was flowing. i walked out to the bay and when he noticed me i just shook my head "no". he put the brush back and we actually had a nice conversation after that.

The idea of a brush head on the end of your trigger wand has been done. I remember a guy about 35 years ago from Chicago was making and selling them . They just didn't take off.

Last fall I saw several videos out of Europe using one in self service washes. Tried to find them here in the states myself. No one is selling it. Must not be a big demand.
I used one about 20 years ago at another guys wash and it’s awkward. Hp soap and rinse coming out of the brush- and trying to hold a trigger down while you brush. Not practical.
