yes, I'm using one of Kleen Rite's economy stainless steel booms. The handles don't come that way I cut an inch or two off right when I get them so I can get the pipe wrench on. I don't wrap anything else onto The aluminum that's exposed. I just leave it like that and it always seems pretty good.

Yes, I run the same soap on both brushes in winter

You can buy a 55 gal of straight methanol from a local supplier for probably around $150 - $200. Take 5 gallons out of it and dump in a 5 gal of your tire cleaner that you use. It wont be as effective but it least it will be the same color.

i bought some low cost stainless j hooks from kleenrite to hang brush horizontally on the wall.

weather wasn't a factor in my decision, per se, but i do feel like my salt neutralizer needs the impact of hi pressure to improve the customer experience. i had a low pressure panel installed for bug/salt to be applied thru spray gun, but i'm underwhelmed with the performance. hi pressure is a better way to apply these chems imo.

so... since the low pressure airlogic panel will be open, i decided to put in a wheel/tire brush that dispenses the minty green tire foam everybody likes.

attached is the picture of the set up. And yes, I realize that I connected the hose wrong and I have the bend restrictor on the wrong end. I fixed it after I noticed my screwup.

Waxman set up looks great only thing I will say is I tried those hooks from KR before. They wont work if the customer places the brush head towards the wall. Wouldn't be a problem for people who actually use their brain but most dont. People would just leave the brush on the ground when it was too complicated to figure out that they need to turn the brush around. Jim Coleman sells SS J hooks for foam brushes. I cant remember how much they were but im sure more than KR, it’s worth it because they work and are idiot proof plus you don’t have to worry about the brush being run over. The J hooks extend out from the wall. Ill attach a pic its not the best because I cropped an old pic but you can see how the J hooks protrude and extend the brush away from the wall. Just a thought.

I'm going to try using one of those, bending the mounting surface to make it parallel with the other side that's notched. It'll be mounted about a foot off of the ground and held in place with one of these. I'll let you know in a few days how this works out.

Did you get the tire bushes installed? What's the verdict if yes?

not yet! had to tear down floor heat boiler to clean heat exchanger and add some new ceramic insulation. we discovered a "hotspot" when testing a new manifold installed for my entry apron.

soon i will install booms and get the tire brush project moving.

Disappointingly, no.
Like Waxman, other projects have claimed top status in past few weeks.
I can report that for several years I had been wondering if I could assemble a low-pressure panel for less than what KR and others charge for theirs.
Most of these parts were sitting on my inventory shelf, so I went ahead and answered the question that was pending in my mind.
Here's a few pics of the parts pile and a mock-up of the 3 bay low-pressure system that costs approx. $800.00 to put together (KR sells theirs for $2083)
This will run the tire cleaner system. I have all needed parts present for the complete install and just need one.... quiet..... day.
If the customers respond positively, my 6 bay will get the same treatment.
If there's any interest in this build, I may put it over on the "creative fixes and work arounds" section (it's pretty straightforward).

Nice work, I made an 8 bay triple foam system for our newest location about 1.5 years ago and saw similar savings percentage wise. $ wise it was a lot more difference just due to the 3 bay vs 8 bay. Used an esp32 with solid state relays to control the color change

That looks good, I'm sure it'll get some good customer usage and get them to spend more time. Our customers love that same tire cleaner out of the triple foam gun, and should be even better out of the brush like that.
