I wound up with a round wheel and tire brush, a Hamel foam brush handle, standard yellow, low pressure hose and Kleen Rite stainless steel boom. I ordered the Kleen Rite concentrate green Tire and wheel cleaner that everybody seems to like.

What was the deciding factor to go with a regular brush handle vs the triggered option?

I went with the standard foam brush handle and tire brush because it seems to me like the customers will have more success cleaning the wheels and tires with that type of brush. They can get more leverage for scrubbing without worrying about pulling the trigger. I think that's just my experience with years of car detailing that makes me think this way. I could be wrong. I guess we'll see...

I'm not too worried about the extra chemical usage with this method.

That looks nice. How do you agitate it or do they just rinse it off? (Let me guess, orange tip in the hydrominder?)

After reading through this thread, I'm really impressed with lunchbox's set up right down to the green polytubing to keep it organized.

Welp, that does it, I'm tossing this stupid wand in the trash and going with lunchboxx's setup too. I hate the idea of all the extra parts, dispensing KR's KRC251 soap as a liquid, and having a spray tip so close to potentially expensive rims.
Here's an example of the setup I was considering in action about halfway through the video. This set up is used all over in Southern California. I just finished putting in an LP panel at my 6 bay this week for a presoak feature. Hose anchors, hoses, gun holders, PVC conduit for the polytubing, electrical, etc. The next project is the tire scrubber at my 3 bay and it ain't gunna be with this mess in the picture. Appreciate all of the responses to this thread as well. Thank you!

i'm planning to use the air logic low pressure panel I bought recently to dispense bug and salt remover through the spray gun. I like having the bug and salt remover, but I want to switch it to high-pressure for a little more effectiveness.

Most don't agitate, just use HP after they wash the rest of the car, some use the FB, but its rare. Tip I don't remember, it's different at each location, but I do run it kind of strong to make sure it looks good

I dual inject washer fluid at the hydrominder in the winter, but in the south, so our winters aren't harsh or that long, so it's effective for the little protection that is needed. I'm usually winterizing closing the whole wash when it's below 29-30 anyways

I had my brushes set up to weep originally, they always had icicles on them. Now I use the same antifreeze soap on both during winter. It's not a tire cleaner, but nobody seems to mind.

I've had great luck with running my de-salt through my HP gun with a solenoid and dump regulator running at 500PSI this winter. It set me apart from any washes in the area and allowed me to dispense it in all weather conditions. The warm days after the snow/salt we were double stacked outside our 6 bay most of the day. Best part. Used just a bit over half of a 5gal bucket all winter.

Hell don't toss it. Ship it to me. I'm still learning towards this setup to set me apart from the competition down the street running it like Lunchbox. Setup correctly, I feel you could have the best of both worlds the show like Keno's running through a spatter gun then flip it around and have a brush for agitation. But man I've loved this discussion with everyone and learned for each example. Mission accomplished.

I like the idea of running the Salt Neutralizer thru a trifoam gun. I’ve been getting a lot of use but it is a lackluster show coming from the HP gun at low pressure.
I don’t have triple foam and don’t think my I want to add it. Maybe I can put salt neutralizer and a foaming Ceramic/Graphine on the trifoam gun. I still have concerns about having to weep it. Water and sewer is crazy in my city

I just revamped and used the KLeen Rite setup with round head brush. It is definitely worth it and well used so far.

How are you going to hang the handle in the bay and does weather influence your decision?

i bought some low cost stainless j hooks from kleenrite to hang brush horizontally on the wall.

weather wasn't a factor in my decision, per se, but i do feel like my salt neutralizer needs the impact of hi pressure to improve the customer experience. i had a low pressure panel installed for bug/salt to be applied thru spray gun, but i'm underwhelmed with the performance. hi pressure is a better way to apply these chems imo.

so... since the low pressure airlogic panel will be open, i decided to put in a wheel/tire brush that dispenses the minty green tire foam everybody likes.

attached is the picture of the set up. And yes, I realize that I connected the hose wrong and I have the bend restrictor on the wrong end. I fixed it after I noticed my screwup.

Straight hose vs. coiled because you're using a boom?
I also noticed your green wash wand has the vinyl cover just short of each end. Did you do that or is that how KR is shipping them now? (I buy mine 50 at a time and its been a bit since I've ordered any)
I've always had to cut the vinyl after the first brush wears out to allow the pipe wrench to get a bite. Then I wrap it with matching electrical tape.
I ordered my set-up today.
