    Secure Coin

Mike they have worked out very well for me. I have had 14 in service for about 12 years and four spares that need repairing. I have contacted Magikist in Winnepeg Canada and will send them in for repair. I'm using quarters, dollars and tokens in them. I remember hearing of some problems but I...

    Dirtbag alert in central Ohio

Jeff I actually did this at the last wash I built. I'm not a good welder and some of the chains have broken off the grates from rough handling when they the pits are being cleaned out. I haven't had any grates stolen. If they are too much trouble to get they will probably move on down the road...

    Dirtbag alert in central Ohio

What if you took some short pieces of chain, weld it to the grate from the bottom near the edge and take out 6 or eight inches of water from the pit and use a Red Head drive in type bolt and fasten the chain to that. Using two pieces of chain per grate.

    Installing FRP on walls

The red was 4x8 sheet of FRP. The other was 4x12 sheet of FRP. I don't use white, I get a color called "Sand". The company I bought if from was in Tennessee. I can't remember the name of it right now. I can send you some pictures if you would like. I did one wash with 12 ft. panels standing on...

    Installing FRP on walls

To keep the panels from bowing you need a 3/8 in hole in the panel and a quarter inch hole in the wall. There is a way to do this in one easy step. I use a Hilti hammer drill with a 1/4 inch masonary drill. The 1/4 in. bit has a 3/8 in. shaft the goes in the drill. When it goes from 1/4 to 3/8...

Starting from scratch, how would you build the best low pressure system ?

The canisters are six inch clear pipe. I considered building them and found a supplier for the clear pipe and found out I could buy them already made up cheaper. The end caps are just regular PVC. I got these from Blue Coral. I've had them probably 15 years. They use them in the conveyor washes...

    Hydrominder tips

I use the small push in tips but not the super dilution ones. They have dilutions like the larger ones but are fed with a 1/4 inch line instead of the 1/2. Much better set up. I never understood the need for a half inch line full of soap feeding a pin hole. Those 1/2 lines are too heavy to come...

    Hose brands

I'm ready to buy a new spool of hose. The one I'm using is a blue 3/8. The surface is not slick like the Neptune, it looks like it has been wrapped with gauze in the final stage of production. It's pretty hard to describe but it is a one wire and is more flexible than most. I can't remember the...

foam brush no foam all liquid

Andy, I had a situation like this just a couple of weeks ago and I've never had it happen before. I am using Kleen-Rite Bubble up for the foam brush. The foam started to get really thin. I did all of the above to no avail. I had five gallons of mixed soap in a 15 gallon drum and I poured it up...

foam brush no foam all liquid

Andy, If all of the above fails you might need to change the diaphragm in your hydrominder.

    Muffler "blown" off Flojet

Usually when this happens it is from icing up. You may be thinking its not that cold. If you want to keep the muffler you can put a hole in it from a nail or small screwdriver and it should stay on.

    Another solenoid help request...

You said you have a weepmizer that is not hooked up. This could be you problem. If it is not hooked up to electricity but is still plumbed in it is working as it is suppose to. The normally open solenoid is open if there is no power on it letting your brushes weep. You said: I have a...
