I thought of that, in fact crytopay makes a spacer for the swiper, but even with the spacer, I don’t think it would clear the Cryptotap. Was though, thinking of that option. Optimally it needs to be attached close to the flashing green button of the swiper to minimize confusion on ending...
Here ya go. My meter plates are 10x15 and there’s still no logical way of installing Cryptotap. It looks patched together and confusing. Also the Cryptotap is 1.25” deep so you can’t even place above or below swiper to clear a card swipe. Seems Cryptopay took the easy way out using third party...
I just received a cryptotap to test out along side my swipers, but now have no clue where to place it. These things are huge and it seems like placing next to the swiper for many will either be difficult or impossible unless you have very large meter plates. Also, placing somewhere away from the...
I agree. I have Superior Dryers at all my locations. Of course Superior doesn’t exist anymore, but has been reborn as Dryer Pros. Same owner, same somewhat improved dryers. Great dryers at a great price. If you can though, go with 15hp all around and do oscillation on all three. I have some...
I have 3 Mark VII Aquajet XT’s and 1 GT700 in the Arizona desert (obviously no salt here either) This year started using Kleen Track 1b and 1a. It’s simply rebottled by Simonize for Kleen Rite. These chemicals do a great job cleaning Touchless and the price simply can’t be beat. I order multiple...
I haven’t a clue what that person was talking about. My system always rounds to the nearest .05. I have a $3 minimum charge and my sites are $3 for 5 minutes. Nothing is ever free. When I view my site analytics, the cents side is always in .05 increments unlike before I changed when it was .25...
you can change your count up to round up or down at a .05 cent interval from .25 Just contact Cryptopay and let them know you want to do this. You do need to be using a Dixmor LED 7 (I think) You will also have to make a change on your LED7 programming as well. It’s been a few years since I did...
We all know, no matter what you do, 1/3 or more of customers never read the instructions and or get confused anyways. Count Up with LED 7 showing time has only rarely been an issue for me. IMO, this is hands down the way to go.
This may seem like overkill, but got so tired of showing up to sites with cut locks and open doors, that I had the clean outs alarmed. Once the alarm goes off on one, they don’t mess with the others and leave never to return. Also, since there’s an actual padlock that’s cut, it’s considered...
I have 5 sites totaling 27 self service bays and 4 IBA’s. I use Cryptopay (count up only) and except cash and coin in all wash bays. Credit cards for bays and IBA’s account for good portion of my business, especially with Covid, even more in 2020. True the fees are expensive, but my average...
I’m looking at replacing my standard X brace H.P. Overhead booms and wall mount F.B. Booms with Halo Booms. Has anyone’s used these? If so, what’s your opinion on these? How have they faired over time? Etc.
Our policy is absolutely no bucket washing. Signs are clearly posted and yet, as we all know in the self service business, customers don’t read nor care. What we always say to customers when bucket washing especially with their own soaps etc. is “you wouldn’t goto McDonalds and order fries but...
Yup, been counting cash for 16 years in the business and this week was the first time I wore a face mask while counting. Still no worries running all the quarters though through the Scan Coin. Lol
I’m not sure who printed my decals as I worked with Ginsan to design them when I ordered to meter plates. I wouldn’t be shocked if they work with Ahearn though. All of my other signage for all my Mark VII IBA’s comes from Ahearn when I’m supplies them through Mark VII. They do good work.
Yeah. So far numbers are pretty much holding at my self service and IBA’s. Good place for people to get out and still social distance. Only thing that has dropped significantly is my full service hand wash location which we’ve gone to exterior only through the Corona issue.
Has anyone in a state that has shut down to all non essential business have to shut down your self service car wash. I’m in AZ and so far business really hasn’t been hurt too much. Just wondering since it’s self service, if it would need to potentially be closed. Thanks.
