    Changing belts on Mars

Is there a trick to changing the belts on a Mars validator? I can't figure out how to do it. Thanks.

Meter box ripped off in CA

Some idiot tried to rip my electric meter off the wall. He didn't get it off, but did enough damage to ruin it. It cost $3500 to replace. My insurance covered it minus $500 deductible, but they didn't cover lost revenue. I was down a sunny week. The day I finally reopened it started raining and...

    Hot Stuff Chemicals

I tried out the hot stuff chemicals for a few months. I liked the one gallon jugs and the free shipping. But to get the product I prefer I had to use bigger tips and ended up going through 5 gallons of product rather quickly. Another turn off for me was when I got my credit card bill and had a...

Looking at buying a small one bay self serve Car wash - info / advice please

It's sounds pretty good. Is there room to expand? Is the bay big enough to make into an automatic? If I could find a car wash for $25k a bay including land I would give it serious consideration.

    Victorville, CA

Two of my washes are in Riverside County, about 1 1/2 hours from Victorville. Last week someone cut the tube on a vacuum and sucked the quarters out. In July at the same wash I had someone cut a hole in the roof of the equipment room. The alarm scared them off, but they came back two days later...

    Automatic Newbie

I just installed my first automatic 3 weeks ago. A WW 2.0 with wheel scrubbers. So far so good. No major problems and the distributor has been great. He set me up with Blendco Supersat System. It's doing a great job cleaning the cars. But today I needed more detergent, the bill for a 30 gal drum...

    What size r.o. tank?

The tanks are going in the second story, so they will be above everything. We have plenty of room upstairs but not a huge opening to get up there. We'll start with the two tanks and go from there. We can always add tanks when needed. I didn't want to be talked into just the 150 gal tank by the...

    What size r.o. tank?

Thanks for the replies. We're going to add a 200 gal tank along with the 150. I feel much more comfortable with this.

    What size r.o. tank?

The R.O. unit will produce 3600 gpd. My distributor thinks a 150 gallon tank is big enough. One of his installers told me he thinks I need at least a 250 gallon tank. I have plenty of room to add a bigger tank. Is 150 gallon tank big enough?

    What size r.o. tank?

I'm in the process right now of converting a tandem bay into an automatic bay. When done I will have 2 self serve bays and 1 touch less auto(WW 2.0). I'm also getting rid of the D.I. tanks for spot free and installing a R.O. unit. I run the spot free in the self serve bays at 300psi. How big of...

    Need permits?

If I convert one of my self serve bays to an automatic do i need to get permits from the city? I realize that it depends on the city, but what have other operators found. I won't need to change anything structurally. My electric, water, and drains are good to go. My distributor says I don't need...

    Anyone use a surface cleaner?

I was pressure washing my lot today and thinking there has to be a quicker and easier way to do this. I found the surface cleaners on Kleen-rite's website and was wondering if anyone has used these and if they work well. They look cool but they're also not cheap. Thanks.

Mars new bill updates you can do yourself

Let me make sure I ordered the right one. I have 4 Hamilton changers all with Mars acceptors. 1 was installed by Hamilton and 3 I retrofitted. I ordered the 24v programmer, is that the right one I need?
