MDB Cryptopay swiper issue

We have an MBD swiper paired to a standard Cryptotap on an old D/H (Radatz) vending machine with a newer updated circuit board. Since yesterday, I noticed that after a successful swipe or tap and vend, the swiper goes into "out of service" mode (flashes yellow). Power cycling it resets it but it does it again on the next swipe or tap. I emailed Cryptopay because they are closed today but wondered if anyone had this issue before. My past experiences (other issues) have been that Cryptopay blames the vending machine board and Keith at Radatz said it's always a Cryptopay issue.

We have a 2 year old Radatz ordered new, has done that since day one. One swipe, one purchase then out of order on swiper. Things not long before it goes in the dumpster.

Not ideal a customer can reach their hand up thru the flap style door and clean out the bottom 3 shelves.

What was the suggestion on fixing this issue? What machine do you have? Has someone cleaned out the bottom row of your machine? Ours has three shelves total with eight selections on the bottom shelf. I don't see how someone's hand could get past the flap.
