Coin box selection buttons vs. selector knob

We have ginsan pushbuttons at 1 location and they do look better. I've also had to replace a few buttons in 3 years of owning this location, never a board. These units are at least 20 years old by my best guess. Real question is, do the customers care or is it just us as owners that care if its rotary vs push buttons?
Yep, I wouldn't care if I wasn't in the market for new boxes. I guess it's because I'm the one that services them.
In the past 20 years I've had a few key-washers come loose and the customers always find a way to twist almost every wire off of the rotary and short something before we discover it. I also like that the customer can switch between services without sweeping past every other and activating everything.
Finally, that it looks newer than grandma's 1940's Magic Chef stove top.
Appreciate the feedback.

I have both style push buttons from Ginsan and have installed many of them for my customers with very few problems. I have very few problems with boards unless they are very old. I have them in the field that are over 20 years old. Ginsan is a very good company. Any questions message me.

Thank you!
When a board fails how do you source it and any idea on current cost?
Appreciate it.

I’ve wondered if someday in the future we’ll get to the point where ss controls for a bay can appear on the customer’s phones. Download an app that links to the wash and have your option selections right on the screen. Too much for a customer to follow now, but if you could pay with your phone and control the bay with your phone it would take that whole coin box/payment mechanism/selector component out of our hands. It’d have to be part of a cashless setup which we may never be ready for.
