The only Mars stringings I have heard of were from bill boxes that had the teeth missing or worn down smooth. It came from a very reputable source and I have no reason to question it. Every time it gets brought up here, we push for more info and it seems all we get is silence. Hamilton and Coinco striningings have never been any problem to verify, but getting good info on Mars stringings seems to be impossible.
