Just sold the 7-bay SS that I’ve been renovating for the past couple of years, and I wanted to thank you guys for all of the help and encouragement that you’ve provided.
This forum is a tremendous resource, populated by quality folk. I’ve been on many forums over the years that devolved into...
I had some preloaded with $3 to use as give-aways to loyal customers, and in rare cases when a refund is warranted.
Opted out of the reload function since a lot of owners said it was problematic.
Overall seems to have been a good move. Customers like them.
My previous attendant that came with the wash would blow litter into the grass, but my new guy picks up all the litter first and then uses the blower for leaves and dirt. It's all in how you train them. My blower is a gas model and yes, it gets a lot of use.
If they make that big of a mess, why would you even want to deal with them? I can't imagine enough ATV's in one locale to justify the cost of building something specfically for them.

Guys - the low pressure booms in my wash (foam brush and triple foam) have 1/2 inch female threads. I've been using 1/2 inch male to 3/8 barb fittings to connect the hose to the boom, mainly because that's how the previous owner did it.
Is there any downside to using a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer...

I got sick of the phone calls about the $10 pre-auth charge so I had Crypto reduce it to $3.00. I've gotten a couple of chargebacks but that's better than trying to explain banking and commerce to folks with little...
Agreed on the tri-foam.
When I bought the wash I'm re-habbing the tri-foam hadn't worked in years. Finally got around to fixing it about 6 months in, and with ZERO signage or promotion it's now very popular at my wash. Few customers seem to understand that it's more of a polish than a cleaner...
Carl, I have this exact same scenario at my wash, though a smaller crowd. They're nice kids that never make a mess or vandalize, and they all have nice cars that they like to keep clean. I've been able to keep it under control by telling them they are welcomed to gather as long as they 1) are...
I have express tunnels on either side of me, at 1/2 and 3/4 mile from my location. I bought my 7 bay SS wash 16 months ago and did an extensive renovation. Business has increased 40% over that time and continues to grow. Self serve in the right market and location will do great as long as you...
