    D&S 5000 Troubles

Hello all, Have a D&S 5000 that's about 10 years old. I can't figure out how to fix these problems that have creeped up. Not sure if they're related or what. Presoak only activates for 5 seconds or so, and then after that only misty water for the rest of the arch passes. If I manually run...

My $15 per month internet solution for CryptoPay

One more thing, Netgear no longer makes a dedicated wireless bridge. But this wifi range extender essentially does the same thing: http://a.co/eukkG9w, and it's what we use for our laundromat setup.

My $15 per month internet solution for CryptoPay

We still have the hotspot setup, and it's been working fantastic since I started this thread. We also have the hotspot setup for a laundromat we run as well that has Cryptopay. Did have to reset it once in a while by unplugging everything and plugging it back in (Maybe once a month)...

    D&S 5000 Oscillating Nozzles

Got a D&S 5000 with another problem I can't figure out. Gantry moves fine. When it's in the front half of the arch, nozzles in the gantry oscillate like they should. When it's in the back half of the arch, nozzles freeze and don't oscillate at all until it gets halfway towards the front...

    Arimitsu 516 pulley help

Thank you all for your help. I had no idea about the different belt types. I replaced the 3.35 inch 2 groove pulley on the Leeson motor with a 4.5" 1 groove pulley and it works great. Amazing how quiet these Arimitsu pumps are compared to the 310s. Got it fixed just in time for the beautiful...

    Arimitsu 516 pulley help

Hello Everyone, we had a very old Cat 310 pump fail and we replaced it with an Arimitsu 516 pump. The pump is powered by a 5HP Leeson motor. The Leeson motor has a 2 groove, 3.35" pulley on it. The old Cat 310 pump had a 2 groove, 6" pulley on it. The new Arimitsu 516 pump came with a 1...

D&S 5000 Car Wash In Use Error

Hello All. Have a D&S 5000 that works well for 10 to 15 washes but then the auto cashier will display "Wash in use". Powering down the car wash control panel and then powering it back on fixes it until it creeps up again. Anyone run in to this problem before? There was some dirt around the...

My $15 per month internet solution for CryptoPay

Using our statement last month from WorldPay, I divided the total revenue by the total fees, and the total fees amounted to a little over 4% of total revenue.

My $15 per month internet solution for CryptoPay

Randy, your IT guy is right. Definitely not enough bandwidth to use for remote video monitoring, but it's more than enough for just simple credit card processing. We currently use this setup with 5 swipers (4 bay swipers and one goldline swiper), and plan to add 7 more (4 vac swipers and 3...

My $15 per month internet solution for CryptoPay

Hello everyone, We installed CryptoPay at our car wash back in January and it has worked very well for us. I want to share my $15 per month internet setup with everyone because I haven't seen a cheap internet solution for CryptoPay posted anywhere here. At our car wash we only have one wired...

    Loop Sensor and Cryptopay

Has anyone been able to connect a Cryptopay Swiper to a loop sensor? Our bays currently have loop sensors, and our Dixmor Timers reset when a customer uses cash but not the swiper (we're setup with Count Up mode). Only asking because we have just gotten Cryptopay setup and have already had 4...

    CryptoPay to Dixmor Harness

We have Dixmor LED7 timers in our bays. I just installed CryptoPay swipers in our bays. I hooked up the 24 VAC Hot and Common wires, and kind of just pushed the blue pulse wire of each swiper into pin 9 of the Dixmor connector. This is where I need some help though. The other wires in the...

    Car Wash in Financial Trouble

Just wanted to post an update. I really appreciate all of the advice given to me so far, and I am definitely implementing it. Here's what I've done so far: 1. Reduced vacuum time to 3:44 from 4:30 2. Removed $5 for 20 minutes signs and painted bare spots underneath. Color looks great and...

    Car Wash in Financial Trouble

Appreciate the bluntness Paul lol. Haven't done it yet because I didn't know how to program the Dixmor timers, and we also have 4 HUGE banners on the exterior that advertise the $5 for 20 minutes that have no paint underneath them. I played around with the programming today and it's super...

    Car Wash in Financial Trouble

Thanks for the replies and advice everyone; it's really appreciated. Just a quick update. I lowered the Vacuum times from 4:30, to 3:44. Raised lowest Automatic price wash from $5.00 to $7.00. Still working on getting rid of the $5 for 20 minutes pricing. I think we're going to go with...

    Car Wash in Financial Trouble

Thanks Smallwash. I did check out the prices of the competing car washes. The cheapest wash both places offered started at $9.00. One even has a $20 wash. Both of those automatic car washes are brush. We have the only touchless automatic. Customers do buy the $5.00 wash. It just sprays...

    Car Wash in Financial Trouble

Thanks IBWashincars. Yes, the $5 for 20min does have a following. $5 for 15 minutes might work. Where our car wash is located, we get lots of trucks that go mudding and they really take advantage of the $5 for 20 minutes. They really muck up the bays and then we have to spend another 15...

Hello All, Been browsing this forum for the past hour or so. Lots of great info here! My parents have owned a car wash in a pretty populated area for about 8 years now. 4 SS bays, and one in-bay touchless automatic. Recently they have asked for my help in repairing the equipment and...
