Offer 3 or 4 Automatic Wash Packages & Menu Design Ideas

Because I offer 2 step-presoak, spot free, drying agent and dryers, I'm pretty sure I'm breaking even on the $5 wash. Here is the seperation: $5- mentioned above $7- adds undercarriage and rocker panels $9 adds triple foam and 2nd HP rinse $10 adds it all plus rain-X. Pretty significant...

Offer 3 or 4 Automatic Wash Packages & Menu Design Ideas

All the posts I could find on this topic are more than 7 years old, so I thought I would start a new one. First Question: We currently offer $5, $7, $9 and $10 wash packages. It has been suggested to me by our chemical supplier to only go with 3 options in stead of 4. His contention is that...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

Update Just to finish off this topic, I went ahead and installed a flojet. It was pretty easy and not too expensive, so thanks for the suggestion! Under further investigation, the issue was not with check valves or anything else. It was the pressure tank. The tank was totally full of tire...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

Yes it does have a pressure adjusting bypassing valve. The paperwork says its factory set and not to adjust it...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

Went ahead and added TWO brand new check valves. One between the pump and the pressure switch. Another just below the solenoids. As suspected, no change. The pressure drops from 60 to 40 over and over again. So this leads me back to the expansion tank. OR, could a small dripping leak cause the...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

The only check valve that has ever been there is the one after the pressure switch/expansion tank and right before the solenoids. Is it possible that procon pumps don't allow liquid to flow the opposite direction and fluid-o-tech pumps do? Sounds like a check valve right after the pump and...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

How do I combine the 2 threads. Not sure how it was posted twice.

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

No it's just before the solenoids and has been that way for years.

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

I can appreciate your approach. This current system has worked great for a decade, plus. I hope it's not necessary to purchase a controller and re-wire this as the solenoids hang high on the wall and the pump unit is on the floor. Seems like unnecessary work and expense if simply replacing the...

Low Pressure Tire & Wheel Cleaner Procon Pump Expansion Tank Issue

Actually, as stated, I eliminated the check valve and plugged the outgoing hose. I actually plugged it by reversing the direction of the check valve and leaving the opposite end open. Not only did no liquid come through the valve, showing that it is functioning properly, the system continued to...

Procon Pump Expansion Tank Tire & Wheel Low Pressure Delivery Issue Our tire & wheel cleaner is distributed with a pressure switch, electric motor, procon pump and expansion tank. We also have needle valves to adjust the air. Issue: The procon pump would not build enough pressure to turn the...

Floating Voltage in Bay Boxes causing interference with Credit Card Acceptance...

We added a grundfos pump and increased some copper pipe from 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch to get more water and to help our new Navien heaters to function better. There were several ground wires connecting different pipes and I'm not sure they got them all back in the correct spots. Even the electrical...

Floating Voltage in Bay Boxes causing interference with Credit Card Acceptance...

The boxes are not daisy chained. Each bay is wired directly to the site controller. Thanks for the troubleshooting sequence. The washcard tech's have been pleasant to work with, but sure didn't have these suggestions. The acceptors are all working right now, but I feel like it is only a matter...

Floating Voltage in Bay Boxes causing interference with Credit Card Acceptance...

Do you think it's likely that these 4 volts are what's causing the card not to process in the one self-serve box and in the automatic payhead? There are also 4 volts in the other 2 self serve bays and those process cards nicely...

Floating Voltage in Bay Boxes causing interference with Credit Card Acceptance...

I don't think "floating" voltage was the word I should have used. We use a 24V AC and a neutral. (as far as I know!)
