I, too find a lot of paperclips, Bobby pins and floss sticks around our vacuums and have seen them used to pull hair & debris clogging the vacuum claws.

Be careful with Rubbing Alcohol on decals. We use it a lot and love it to clean metal. But depending on the ink they use on decals, it can remove the finish. It ruined my Little Trees decal.

Do you have enough foaming soap coming out of the HH brushes? The lubricity should help preserve the brushes. If they're using the brushes dry, I would suggest switching to nylon brushes.
