    RO Issues

I have a Ginsan RO system that is about 20 years old. It began producing water at a trickle so we checked flow controls, water pressure, regulators, water filter. Finally put new membranes in and it worked great again. After 2 months, it was back to a trickle. Installed another set of new...

    IBA question

We upgrade for 3 main reasons. 1) speed - if the wash is busy (running at max capacity for too many days of the year) a new machine can pay for itself in increased business. We should learn from the tunnel guys as well, the faster the service, the more washes you will do. Customers hate to...

    Laser wash 4000 tri foam

Both problems could be related. Is the dripping hitting the Tbar eyes? We added a shield over the eye on the t bar to keep foam from dripping on the eye. If you havent changed chemical or air settings, try Cleaning the foam generators. They can clog over time affecting your foam.

    Water Softener

Depending on your water quality, you may not need to soften the water for the HP rinse however that only delays the problem. The resin in the softener is likely breaking down decreasing the flow rate. Typically softener tanks can be rebedded (resin removed and replaced), we had to do that last...

    Meter Box Door Replacement

I think I go against the majority here, but I prefer the pushbuttons. They have been reliable in our washes and I prefer the look and impression it gives the customer. Reliability and durability may be a factor of the brand you choose. We have been using Ginsan. However, you probably can't...

    Cycle Stop Valve

Get a hardness test kit. Hardness is a scale, your water at home might be 3 or 4 grains of hardness and 10 grains at the wash, that would yield very different results. I have one location with well water that is 27 grains, and a very high iron content. I wouldn't use that anywhere without...

    Bent Ryko Brush Shaft

Was there a hitch on the truck? That seems to be the cause of bent shafts for us. Unfortunately, no one reads signs asking them to remove hitches or they say "I used it before with my hitch on" David

    Vacuums

The IVS vacs with dual hoses have 3 motors, they are powerful enough to use both hoses at once and still have good suction. We used to use them when we were full service and I just installed 3 of them with the dual booms at one of my locations.

    Nozzles on WashWorld Razor/Profile

Washworld has a brand new arch at the Car Wash Show that has zero degree rotating nozzles. The arch has two sets of nozzles, one for lp soap application and the other set is HP rotating nozzles. Cant wait to see it in action David

Vac nozzles, holes in or no holes?

We drill holes. Have done it for years at our full service location. Holes or notches make it easier to use the vacuum, neither option creates a decrease in effectiveness of the nozzle.

    Vacuum nozzles falling off

Yes, I use the 1 1/2 cuff. This one.... https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-824-vac-swivel-cuff-gray-1-1-2-in-hose-x-1-1-2-in-nozzle.aspx David

    Vacuum nozzles falling off

We use a hose cuff to connect the nozzle to the hose. They occasionally unscrew from the hose so we use a short stainless steel screw through the cuff into the hose. David

    Purclean RO issue

Thanks for the suggestions. I discovered that the pressure sensor is monitoring the incoming water feed not the pressurized premembrane feed. I narrowed the issue down to the charcoal filter and discovered the solenoid on the charcoal filter was not working. I'm not sure how it has worked at...

    Purclean RO issue

I'm not familiar with Purclean systems so this maybe an obvious answer. My unit keeps shutting down with this error message: "Excessive pressure switch trips Unit off!" Any suggestions on what to check? I'm not sure what pressure this is monitoring David

    Problems with wash world hoses

It has been a few years since we removed our Laserwash 4000 that had an overhead boom like that. I don't think the swivels would cause that problem but I may be wrong. I know the length of that hose is important and the condition of the high pressure swivels there the booms connect can cause...

Differences Between Razor Models and Kondor

I don't have hands on experience with the Kondor. When we removed our Vector we installed a Razor Edge. In a touch free wash, vehicle sizing matters. As others have said, high pressure that is too far from the vehicle is less effective. The Razor Edge is fast (for an IBA), 1 Razor set up...

    Ryko Presoak issue

I have a Ryko Softgloss that isn't applying presoak. It doesn't seem to be injecting the presoak into the water stream. The blue-white pump is pumping and I checked the injector/check valve and it looks ok. Is it possibly for a Blue-White to pump product when there is no back pressure but not...

    WAGO wire connectors

The Wago terminals have a hole in them to insert a tester without needing to leave an extra port. The extra port can be useful if you want to clip your tester in to free up an extra hand. I agree with the other posters, they are a great connector, I haven't had any failures yet.

    Totaled IBA and Insurance

I assume this is the driver's insurance? You don't have to take what they offer you. You can negotiate and ask for more. You have to push back. Your insurance company may be willing to help. David

New technology advice on Surveillance Cameras

Lorex 4k systems have worked well for us. The app is easy to use and I have multiple sites setup so it is easy to view all at once. When installing the cameras, make sure you have a watertight connection between the camera and cable.
