So this is still happening. I tried everyone’s suggestions at this point. It only happens when the cycled weep is active. Full weep, all good. No weep, all good.
My cold water hp rinse solenoids are very old, and could be bad. Not sure though. Would this cause this?
Folks,
I own a 5+1 Touchless Automatic. Since I've owned the place it has been a 24/7 operation. I do have business in the evening, but it usually drops off about 11pm and picks up about 7am.
I am wondering if anyone shuts their IBA during overnight hours?
If so, why did you decide to set...
So,
My boiler was sized properly for about 4500 sq ft. of floor heat. I am recalling this off the top of my head. Maybe 627,000btu? Don't quote me on that. The previous boiler was severely undersized. It ran all the time will little ice management.
My new boiler was installed in September...
My boiler is at the max temp for production. I had my installer in, and he said to increase the slab temp at the thermostat. We will see. I am excited to actually see floors without ice.
So where the slab temp is set, says about 38 on the thermostat. Slab temp, not ambient. I am not sure how accurate this is because the thermostat is a 30 year old analog type(Honeywell). I get ice at 15 degrees for sure. Always have ice at 0.
The installer said to raise the temp 4-5 degrees and...
Folks,
Up until last year, I had a boiler that was severely undersized for my floor heat. I installed a Raypak this year and it seems to be a lot more efficient. I have four questions about operation.
Preface:
My slab thermostat is set to come on at about +/- 38 degrees and maintain the floor...
How is the bulb working out?
All I have plugged into my ACW4 outlet is the 24v Cryptopay Swiper. Would I be ok to plug in a 25w appliance bulb in the other socket? Don't want to screw anything up : ).
Any creative ways of mounting it? Thanks!
If you have a discharge tube in the tank, make sure it has a hole(1/4"ish) drilled in it above the liquid line. This prevents siphoning and tank over filling.
I have the rubber strips.
Actually, Airlift got back to me and suggested spraying some silicone inside the rails. I gave that a shot yesterday. Seems to work well!
Folks,
I installed 360plus this year. We had to move the door from an interior installation to an exterior installation to make room for the 360.
I am having exit door ice build up in the rails. I never had this before. I am wondering if anyone has a solution to fix this issue.
Thanks!
I have a similar setup. I keep mine above the red line by just a little. If it goes below, I know I have a leak. I just had new boilers installed, and this is where the installer set the level.
This is great info, everyone.
I am definitely going to change my protocol. I plan on keeping the SS bays open 24/7. 15 degrees and lower or extremely inclement weather, I'll shut down. I know some of the "die hard", "no garage" type customers will have to adjust. Honestly, keeping it open in...
Great stuff guys.
I am finishing my 4th year as an owner/operator/plow service : ).
The first year I had a 15 year old LW4K with no doors. One of the worst winters we've ever had in west Michigan. The ice! The problems! Never shut down the automatic.
My second year I had doors installed. Game...
MEP001,
It does draw on a tank and solenoid. It usually always comes up to pressure.
So as a last ditch effort, I swapped the whole gun/hose/tip assembly with a brand new one. I also swapped the pulse dampener(who knows, right). She's running like a champ.
Can older weep guns cause this??
