Tear them out and don't look back. I had the same booms when I bought my wash and had high hopes of rebuilding them until I found out they used car axle seals from the 90's. The newer ones don't hang as low either. They were prime in their day but better ones are now available.
This exact thing happened to us this weekend. Cryptopay coin counters showed half full. Boy was it wrong and it was jammed all the way up to the coin mechs. Not sure why it malfunctioned after two years of flawless operation. A small snake seems to clear the drop tubes pretty well. Wish there...
Thanks for the feedback. I'm out west and looking for something turnkey I can install. Mep suggested a couple to me and may go that route. Thanks, David
I saw your post on your new camera system. Can you share which system you installed? Looking to upgrade my 8-year-old system that stinks. Thanks, David
I too have the Dilling Harris soleniods and today swapped out one bank with new KIP's on my tire cleaner unit. It sloved my issues. Just cut the wires and install new terminals to attach. I found direct replacements on a lot of old Harris products.
Mep you were spot on. Just got home from a day at the wash. I tested the system out and that solenoid you pointed to cuts the air off. I found the KIP valve to be bad today. Parts are on order. With every car wash malfunction comes a new learning opportunity to learn how things work. I'm three...
MEP, Can I ask what is the solenoid pictured in the lower right above the regulator? It has a 115V style male plug on it. What does that one do for incoming air? Thanks for the guidance...
This morning we pulled up to the wash and the tire cleaner was on and the chemical was pumping out of the gun. The panel was turned off. No one around but the system was on and the flowjet pumping fluid? Any ideas on where I should start troubleshooting? Never seen this problem before?
Thanks
I had this exact problem a couple of months ago. Cleaned the swiper a few times with no luck. I had to send the swiper in for repair. They never tell you which part failed but it now works great. I finally bought a spare swiper to have in stock so I'm not down at any one time.
Mine wash was built for rural use knowing mud was going to be a problem so they designed my pits 9 feet deep. Once every year and a half for me seems to be the average for cleaning. Dirty job! Keep those drain pipes clean with a jetter too! Overflowing pit drains with freezing weather is...
Can something post a link on how to get a loan forgiven not a PPP. I can't find anything on the SBA site and did NOT go through a bank for assistance. Thanks
I use aircraft wire when I need maximum protection. It's Mil-W-22759. I have plenty on hand since we use it for our aircraft cockpit installations. You can buy from a place called Aircraft Spruce. https://www.aircraftspruce.com. Maybe overkill but it works.
Thank you Soapy, This is in line with what I was looking for to replace the obsolete unit. I'll get one on order and may call on you again if I experience problems but looks pretty straightforward. Thanks to all who responded and will report back when it humming along and in service.
Thanks...
I have an older Ray Pak floor heat boiler that's running great but the thermostat has not worked in years. The part number is SP-32 made by Goldline. I found a company that rebuilds them and it was returned still not functioning. Has anyone found a replacement unit that's plug and play? 115V...
