switching from 3/8" to 1/4" hp supply hose

I'm redesigning my roof trough and am contemplating doing everything in stainless tubing of one gauge or another. 1/4" for low pressure functions and 3/8" for the high pressure runs. I will have this place for another 20 years at least and would rather spend a little more now and make my life a...

Reducing Winter Troubles and Utility Costs in SS Bays

That is honestly what I was thinking, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least ask the question.

Reducing Winter Troubles and Utility Costs in SS Bays

Greeting Everyone! It is that time of year again where I start to envision those high utility bills and ever increasing problems that only make themselves known in sub-freezing temperatures. One thing that I've pondered over the past couple of weeks is whether closing off my bays so that they...

    Fill Tank Overflowing

I have the Walters valve and it is continuing to do it and looked at my replacement log...entire valve 6 months ago...

    Fill Tank Overflowing

The fill tank for my self serve bays is continuing to overflow and it is driving me nuts. It is a fairly new valve (less than a year) and is leaking on the backside a steady stream of water even when the bays aren't calling for water. I closed the feed valve and opened it back up slowly and...

Stainless tubing for HP bay lines

Washmee is right, I went to Alro Steel to get mine. 20' sections were a tremendous help.

The media is less than 6 months old.

    Extra Dryer Motors

I have some extra 15 HP motors that came with my dryer arch for my in bay. I was thinking about using 2 of them to increase efficiency on my IBA. These motors were used with an oscillating feature originally so the shrouds were NOT mounted directly to the motor. When I start looking at shrouds...

In Need of Water Softener Education

I have been doing some work on my water softeners (old Fleck [Ginsan] 9100 series) and frankly I'm doing the $5 mechanic fix where I just start tossing new parts in without actually diagnosing the problem. Can someone give me a basic rundown of how the different cycles work and such? I have gone...

    Grease

I use AMS oil grease and it has worked far better than anything I've used up to this point.

Etowah Valley users who switched to TSYS

    1. The pre-auth does not work the same and it has actually ended quite a few phone calls from patrons after the fact. 2. Live batching is not a feature they support. I missed it on the first day and then didn't give it a second thought. 3. This is one that I had problems with as well...to...

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

I am maxed out, but I could split the power to my pumping station to get some additional juice...not optimal, but it would work.

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

I have a source for the motors, who would have the most cost effective solution for getting the housing, impellar and mounting hardware?

    StacoVAR Mini

My only question would be if I'm going to see a ROI of a maximum 12 months? I like the idea and think it makes sense for our industry, but does it make fiscal sense?

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

Okay, let's assume that the top blowers have to stay where they are...what is the minimal HP you would recommend for using some type of side drying elephant ear, whether DIY or purchased? I would think that 5 HP would be way to small, but would a 7.5 on each side get the job done?

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

One of my biggest challenges is how to do that...I don't really have the ability to separate my top 2 blowers since they are on welded platforms on the top beam of the dryer stand...ideas?

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

If I can avoid it, that would be my best option. I'm not opposed to adding more, but feel like I have the right HP, its just not fully utilized.

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

How could it be any less effective than the Protovest one I linked to in my original post? A 30 HP dryer on only one side at the bottom doesn't seem as efficient as my proposed setup, but I'm sure it works fine as Protovest wouldn't put out a sub-par product.

    VIP Wash Club

It is working well and I pick up a few additional accounts each week. No problems with collections up to this point. I haven't marketed it as much as I need to since I'm in the throes of opening another business, but I've got some plans to increase usage...

Some DIY Innovation for my IBA Dryers

I think I can develop the sides fairly easy...the part that has me stumped is how to get the top oscillating producers to still operate as intended AND push air through to my side producers...thoughts?
