    Express Exterior defined

I agree with Earl. The Detroit area also has an abundance of "exterior only" car washes with attendants collecting $$ and it has been that way for decades. In fact, Benny and Justin would often visit the Detroit area in winter to see the process of these locations and the number of cars they...

    Istobal versus Ryko

FWIW, I installed a new Istobal MNEX machine in a Ford Assembly plant. The unit was a combo touch free and friction with 3 brushes and on board contouring dryer. This machine is smooth, trouble free and washes upwards of 60 cars per day on a 24 hour cycle. I will say the dryer is really good...

Don England Galvinized Conveyor line in the Midwest???

I know of some equipment in operation today. A double tunnel in Michigan - one tunnel removed and then the other renovated recently but some side washers and mitters still operating with the new stuff. I think some may still be in Grand Rapids, MI and Illinois. I ran into some in Florida about...

    Tire shine machine help

FWIW: PECO tire Brite is $8,995.00 (hydraulics extra), Hyd. Solenoid is $145.00 to mount to your 10hp power pack. Framework is more industrial and stronger than aluminum and mounting hardware is stainless steel including lags. These tire shiners get a lot of abuse - just sayn.

    Tire shine machine help

You can add a hydraulic solenoid to the powerpack if you have an open output in your controller and even though the powerpack is running another device, the brush will only come on when that output is activated.

Mitter cloth pulling rear wiper arms

Try shutting the mitter down before it gets to the back. This may help a little but won't be a cure all.

    Tire shine machine help

By the time you replace foam pads in the course of a year or two, The hyd./elec needed for a rotating brush would be a push in cost. A bristle brush should last a number of years and give an excellent tire at about 2 oz. per car. Ive seen this on both a PECO , Macneil and Sonny's bristle brush...

    Best Wraps in The Industry

Tire sensor switch you need and only $250.00. The valving is on the Module and the cylinders are standard on the wraps. Keep in mind, this is not a required item for wrap operation and air pressures in either direction should not be more than 20 psi for the bump and 10psi for shoot. The tire...

    Best Wraps in The Industry

The system requires a tire sensor switch, a single function from your controller and your pulse length. The location of the tire gives a close proximity of where side view mirrors are on most vehicles. The PLC is written to know when to bump and then shoot based on the tire location and your...

    Best Wraps in The Industry

There is a Wrap Control Module made by PECO (Called Bump and Shoot) that will lightly retract the brush head away from the side view mirror (Bump) and then give some additional air to (Shoot) the wrap across the back of the vehicle. It would not only work on PECO Flex Wraps but also AVW and...

    Equipment layout - opinions

The PECO combo unit allows for wraps on the entrance and exit side like the Sonny's Spyder and gives and option of putting a top brush in place of the mitter curtain. I have seen mitters set up rear wipers to be pulled out only to have a wrap come across the back and remove it. The top brush...
