I swapped 2 years ago to $1 tokens. It’s probably been the best thing I’ve done. I got a little pushback from a few people but not many. I did go to dual coin acceptors in my bays & still take quarters in there. I think that is key. I still get over $1000 in quarters every month.
So my old Futura ran for a few months but it decided to act up again. It is saying communication error between plc & exor. Where do I need to start? New cable? Pretty clueless over here. Thanks
I added taps to my current swipes I already had. For me it seems to be around 40-45% tap. That’s in about 2 months. My main reason was the swipers seem to be picky about what card they’ll read so I wanted something else. Seems to have addressed that issue.
I would add the cryptopay & run it for a little while. In the future I would get the dual coin & swap over to tokens but it doesn’t have to be now. I actually added tap to my cryptopay swipers I installed 2 years ago on Friday. They are already being used a fair amount. These were my homemade...
I went to $1 tokens & it was probably the best thing I have done. I also added credit cards & would look at doing both if possible. My bays still accept quarters but if you need change from me you’re getting tokens.
Does the auto run at the moment? If it does it would be crazy to remove it for a ss bay. They are right. You could have that new wash literally right next store & people would still use yours too.
I bought a wash 2 years ago in May. It was 1.25 for 4 minutes & some change & vacuums were .75 for 5 minutes. I did the usual replacing hoses, guns, decals, cleaned the place up, & got everything working. I’m now $3 for 3 minutes on the bays & $1 for 2:30 on the vacuums. Business only increased...
I did this about a year ago on an old wash I bought (1998). I bought my own boxes & added cryptopay & dixmor timers. I also just did my busiest 3 bay (5 total). They paid for themselves in a few months & have only increased. I would 100% get new decals at minimum. A few dollar & a few hours...
I made the switch about 8 months ago & it was the best thing I’ve done since I got my wash (little over 1.5 year ago). I had to change the acceptors in my bay so I could accept tokens & quarters. For cost I just changed the mechanical acceptors in my vacs & vending so they’re only tokens. I have...
It’s not leaking at the threads. It’s leaking at the actual swivel. It wasn’t leaking before but it probably hadn’t been touched since 98. I disturbed it & now is dripping there.
So after putting it back together I gave it a day to cure before I fired it back up. Fixed all the leaks except the larger (3/4” I think) line at the swivel. I’ve tried to find a replacement end but no luck. Look like that end is the screw on type but I couldn’t find one. All for smaller hoses.
I’m in the process of changing the unloader on my old Futura. What is the best stuff to use to seal the threads on everything? I’ve got regular Teflon tape, yellow Teflon, Blue demon Teflon tape, pipe dope? I used white originally an have some small leaks. What do y’all recommend?
