HELP!!!!!! Washworld Razor Double Barrel

Sudsitup

New member
I had a DB ordered back in February. We were told that it would fit on the phone by Washworld while my distributor was on the phone with measuring tape in hand. The machine shipped and now does not fit in the bay. Spoke to Washworld the only solution they offered was to switch the arch to a razor. So now I have a double barrel carriage and a razor arch. Signage and pay station was ordered with DB logo etc. Any advice??? I am so burnt...... Do I climb some ladders in WW? Get an attorney? Losing time and business as I sit in dead water..

that seems like a nightmare! I am hopefully opening my first in bay automatic soon and was told by my distributor that my profile max will fit in the bay even though it is shorter than the WW recommendations but he said he has done it before and just has to do a couple modifications (but he did say before anything he will physically come down to my site to triple check it will fit and they are able to manipulate it to fit). If I may ask did your distributor/installer ever actually go down to do their own measurements to make sure it would fit in your bay or be able to manipulate it to fit?

Wow, not good for WW. We are just placing an order for a Profile Max. What is the length of your bay for the Profile? Do you have onboard or off board dryers? Our bay is 40' but the last 5'-6' are the big offboard dryers.

I don't understand how a Razor arch will fit, but not a DB?
But, if that's truly the case, ask WW to pay for the signage to be changed. If they won't, threaten to lawyer up. Then, if they won't, & it's not too prevelant on your signage, just roll with it
But make a decision quick.

The arch on the DB is double thick so the machine requires at least 6" of additional bay height. It is big beefy looking machine. We are waiting to see the machine in action at a location a few hours away and then waiting for V2 as WW works out the initial design flaws. No different than with the Razor and Profile as the first machines had issues......

my bay length is 34 feet long by 16 feet wide and 12 feet high... going to need to mount the dryers on the exterior wall upon exit and also need to fit all the pumps, equipment, and chemicals within the same bay as well.. technically the profile LXR would be a better fit but will be losing the power touchless wheel cleaner and foam n flow if I go that route

Outside dryers have some advantages. We have them outside a 30’ bay with a Razor. Allows next customer to enter when one is going thru the dryers.
for sure! and way better to have the dryers to be exposed to sun and rain rather than the harsh chemicals that are flying around inside the bay

apparently they have changed the dynamics and specs as they go.. through trial and error. Make sure you are clear and talk to WW.... lol like that makes a difference

Not a profile Double Barrel Touchless

sorry I am a little confused... so what is the dimensions of your bay and what is the dimensions the machine needs to fit?

My distributor was on the phone with tape in hand. I was witness to the conversation. I ordered it right there on the spot. I am so disgusted

Yeah I'm sick to my stomach

Im assuming your issue is height because the double barrel is raised 4-6" to accommodate the turbo nozzles on the top of the wand. 99.999% of your customers will not know if its a wash world double barrel or a laser 4000. Double barrel branding means nothing to a customer. Its simply separate manifolds for your high pressure and low pressure applications to accommodate turbo nozzles for high pressure rinse since you can't apply presoak with them. Its good because it gets rid of check valves but nothing new and your customer won't care or know. Not sure what all the hype is about. Oasis has been doing that for 10+ years. Technically I own two FIFTEEN barrel oasis typhoons since I have three manifolds on each wand x 5. I was disappointed when I found out that double barrel meant two manifolds and not two wands like a petit. I wouldn't waste money on a attorney. Your not going to win. They have more money than you and their bay size specifications are listed on their website. Its not wash worlds job to make sure a machine fits. Id blame the distributor if anyone.

I am 32' long and 13'5 wide whichwas good in Feb.. now its 14' wide

Just seen this. Thought height was the problem. Looks like your distributor measured you up for a standard razor and not double barrel. Didn’t know there was a difference in bay width however until I checked the website.

Oasis is actually been ahead of everyone on their Typhoon (over Petit & WW) & i5 (ahead of all the frictions). Again, their only issue has been just not having enough distributors. That's sad, cause it is a GREAT family owned company outta Kansas. Much better than going through the 2 or 3 conglomerate's.

Oasis nailed this design decades ago - and sped up the whole process by cleaning the fronts/ backs/sides and tops simultaneously with separate manifolds. Not only is it faster, but the customer perception inside the car is more impressive seeing multiple actions happening at the same time. Great machines for sure!
