We have the same issue. And just today as a result of an internet outage - found an outrageous issue. The coordinator was down and even unplugged and yet I was able to swipe and “purchase” 10 minutes of time for each swipe. No pending with on Amex all three times. Located a thread from 5 years ago that it’s a feature of cryptopay to allow for non authorized sales to build up in a batch. And then when they run them later - you don’t have any reporting to show you how many declines and free washes you have away.

In addition to being a carwash owner - I have been in the merchant services business for 30 years and can’t believe this is a function of this product. No telling how many free car washes we have given away! How do you not confirm a card is valid before you give someone a product or service?

Of course, they are closed on weekends for support while car washes are their busiest.
Very bizarre!! Or just plain BAD BUSINESS!!

They are. You just have to fill out the questionnaire correctly.
Actually they are not. That's why they dropped first data as a processor. It was getting harder and harder to get around them not being PCI compliant.

This is off Cryptopay's website. Are you saying they have been lying to us?

CryptoPay has authorized and is contracted with Magensa Protected Payment Gateway (Magensa.Net). The Magensa Protected Payment Gateway (Magensa.Net) is PCI-DSS certified and listed by MasterCard and Visa as a compliant service provider.

Not to jump to conclusions ... but I can't help but wonder if Discover & Am Express are included in the PCI-DSS certification.

IMHO ... it seems like the mega corporations with highest market share such as Visa & MasterCard could potentially pull their service plug on unsuspecting smaller businesses because of their political beliefs. Of course if "equal protection of the law" & our judicial system is working ... hopefully much less of a problem.

By the above ... I am just going by what a Chicago-Land owner of some laundromats reported about "chargebacks" that were not allowed to be challenged because of a claim of "nonPCI compliance" receptacles even though the executive had 100% proof from his surveillance cameras that his mega washers did provide the service!!!

I wonder if this is something recent? When I was with first data they would constantly try to charge me for cryptopay not being PCI compliant and that was a little over a year ago. When I contacted Cryptopay about the situation they told me that is one of the reasons they were going away from First Data as a merchant services provider.

That sounds like a First Data problem, not a Cryptopay problem. FWIW I've dealt twice with issues of being charged a large non-PCI compliance fee. In both cases the CC processing was dial-up, which is 100% compliant. With one it was a mistake on filling out the questionnaire, the other was waived when we demanded it. With the latter I suspect it was just the merchant processor trying to slip it past.

I've been with cryptopay since 2011. Had all the issues mentioned. Did switch to worldpay about 3 years ago. They do ask for pci info/questions etc. Have been compliant since 2011. Did have first data try and charge a huge non pci fee. Dropped them then off to worldpay. So far so good. No real issues with worldpay.
