which float valve is better?

the bottom 1 is actually a Watts,& says so with a stamp.
The "Watts" part is the pilot valve of the assembly. The assembly is from Walters. You do know that I've worked for a distributor for 26 years and that I know this stuff.

So, what's kind of the boards general consensus...?
The purpose of the "board" isn't to give you a definitive answer, it's to give opinions based on experience so you can make a choice. Asking such a question is only going to create an argument over which is "best."

$231 looks pretty high for plastic when essentially each Float valve does the same thing we are just filling a tank with water. The Jobe does look cooler but how many cars do you need to wash to pay for it?

Buy 1 https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-27147-jobe-1-inch-topaz-industro-hi-temp-float-valve.aspx

or

Buy 3 Walters https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-20...-valve-assembly-1-in-100-gpm.aspx#description

install one and have 2 spares then take the money you save after buying the 3 Walters and treat yourself to lunch.

I think you’ve referenced the wrong Jobe valve. The Jobe valve you referenced is the high temp model. This is the one we use and have had great success with it over the Walters float valve. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-27...d-float-valve-with-long-tail.aspx#description

Do people still run cold water? with on-demand water heaters and immersion heater combinations, customers love hot water. I try and create the best possible self-serve experience for people and never cut corners on quality.

I looked at the temperature rating on the Jobe valve and it is 140 degrees on the cheaper model and 170 degrees on the hot water model I will try it out the jobe valve has a lot more versatility in adjustment capability instead of just bending the metal rod to adjust the water level. Thanks for the advice I will give it a shot.
