What's in the undercarriage 'rust inhibitor' and is it bad if inhaled?

I went to a local open bay touchless car wash and the payment terminal is about 10 feet away from the bay entrance (no doors or curtains etc). The undercarriage sprayers are right at the entrance edge of the open bays and someone went through the bay to the left of me while I was paying for my wash for the right side bay.

The sprayers looked kind of like this but perhaps less powerful, maybe only a single set of side jets on each side:

I think I inhaled some mist but IDK if it's just water or if they actually put something in it. This wash has options for rust inhibitor in the undercarriage wash. It's a Laser 360 but it looks like undercarriage sprayers can vary significantly depending on the particular wash.

You can put a chemical in the underspray. I never used one and can’t imagine it would do much to prevent rust. But it is an extra service to offer. No way for the customer to really see any results either, other than knowing they got it.
