What to do with competitors tokens?

once in a while I get a few of my competitors tokens. They have his logo on them. I have inch and an eighth tokens and his are about an inch. I used to bag them up and when I got a decent amount I would just give them back to the old owner because we were buddies. Someone new bought the wash. I contacted the old owner and asked him if he thought the new owner would be interested in paying me a small amount of money to get the tokens back. He said he wasn't sure if he'd be interested or not. If he's not interested in paying even a little bit to get back a bag of maybe a couple hundred tokens, what do I do with them? Any ideas?

I take mine to a local metal recycler who pays me for the scrap metal.

Use them in your token changer unless you do not use tokens. Customers rarely look at the tokens closely or care.

I’d just contact the new owner and be straight with him. Tell him your arrangement with the previous owner and ask if he’d be interested in the same arrangement. You take the time to sort, count and deliver his items, so it’s more than reasonable to be remunerated for that service. If he’s not interested, then they are yours and you can do whatever you like.

Could you reprogram your acceptors to not accept them?

Another thing I did. While playing poker one night, one of my buddies asked if I minded if he washed a backhoe. I told him I would do better than that, and gave him a bunch of my competitors tokens so he could go wash it for free.

I tried that but it wouldn't work. When I turned up the selectivity to reject the small tokens it was rejecting mine too.
