What exit Dryer are you using?

We have a Water Wizard 2.0 with on board dryers. We have had several issues with the dryers and are likely going to need to replace at least 2 of the 3 motors. The dry cycles also eat up a lot of time and they do not do a great job (not to mention water is still dripping off the gantry as you exit).

My thought is rather than putting money into replacing these motors on a setup that does not work great is to install exit dryers on the exterior of the building.

Anyone else moved from gantry dryers to drive through dyers on exit? How do you like it?

Any recommendation of dryer brand?

Any brand but premier. If price is no object, I like my ancient (25 year old)belanger air cannons, but they are pricey.

Wondering out loud if you can get an arch from Mcneil or Coleman that would allow you to use your current blowers. Motors are relatively cheap.

Side note-I've gone to a single pass ultra slow speed on my wizard with onboard dryers and if your protectants/DAs are right it does an decent job in about 70 seconds. If you have two blower passes try the first pass at fast, followed by a normal speed pass.

i've had free-standing superior blowers for 20 years. i've replaced one oscillate motor in that time and maybe a contactor ( can't remember). great for improved throughput, imo. my razor fires the next wash once car passes photo eyes. i'd say 60-75% of customers do not use full 60 sec. of blower time.

whatever producers ( impellers) you go with, i would suggest 10 hp side blower motors and 15 hp oscillating top blower based solely on my own experience using this same setup.

you could probably get some good used ones on carwash consignment.
