What Does U'r Daily Check List Look Like?

Wash-it

New member
Many car wash owner/operators are "hands on"- meaning he or she takes care of the daily operational tasks. There are alot of very important things that need to be done on a daily/weekly basis when operating a "successful" car wash facility. There's more to it than simply robbing the bills/change and taking out the trash.

We have started this thread in order to better help the "hands on" car wash operator. However, primarily our goal for starting this thread is to better inform those operators who have or who are considering using an attendant or "care taker". Thus providing them with a comprehensive daily routine.
You can make a positive difference to our fellow operators by comprising and posting your daily/weekly routine of events . You may be surprised to find an area or two that may help you become a better operator too!

EX.
. Test Lighting
. Check Water Quality-- Hardness-TDS
. Titrations
. Check Vending Products
. Check Chemical Volmes
. Inspect equipment for Water/Air/Chem leaks
. Check all Bay Functions

The List Will Go On and On..........
With your input, We can comprise the BEST Daily/Weekly CheckList EVER!!!
Although there are many differences, IT Does not matter if you are SELF SERVE - IN BAY - TUNNEL - OR DETAIL. Simply state your type of facility and post your lists........

Yes, drain air compressors daily! very important! Do not trust those automatic drain valves either! We have seen those fail and have had to drain off 30+ gal of oily water. Water in air system will damage so much stuff. And cause tremendous down time!
Good one wax man!

I wouldn't say checking all functions every day is necessary, but at least testing the bays with coins is. Every so often I'll run one function in every bay to make sure it's working exactly the same in every bay. I'll wash my own vehicle once or twice a week and use a different bay each time to test each individual function.
