weep system for GinSan

I don't think my Ginsan "The Ultimate" has a weep system with it. It's supposed to be mounted on the way, however, I bought this used...& never located a weep system.

Any ideas on what to do? Cold weather is coming fast...!

It should be part of the equipment - there are individual weep solenoids on each pump. There should also be a main weep solenoid, but it could have been separate and didn't get included with your equipment. If that's the case, you just need to find where the solenoid connected and get one plus something to control it, either a thermostat or a Weep Mizer.

Make your own! Its not that hard. Here's a few pictures of my "Home Brew"...Works great! Note, the lines tee'd in from the bottom are for manual Air and Washer fluid blowdown when I want to shut a bay or two down during extreme cold. Also note, if you have PS on the HP gun, most systems have a weep shutoff solenoid for each bay. I did away with all the weep shutoff solenoids when I put the PS on the TF gun. Did away with all the CV's in the trough too!

Thanks! The hose clamps attaching the assembly to the pump stand is a little tacky! But it works great.

I run a weep mizer into a 24v dema valve. The feed to pump. With a stainless check valve at the pump. Don't use the trickle setup on the pump stand anymore. 5 inches of snow for us tomorrow! Here we go!

Most of us have already ditched the Dema's for Asco Diaphragm solenoids. After your Dema quits working and you freeze up solid, you'll see why we've all changed! "Thanks" To Randy here on the forum. I'm going on my 5th year on the Asco...Not a single issue.

Yes. Upon Randy's advice I did install an ASCO on my LW4000. It wouldn't install properly into my weep system, so I installed the diaphragm type DEMA to my SS system. I had a piston style that would get stuck open. I hope this DEMA will get me through the winter. I'll do some more investigating in the spring for the proper ASCO valve for my SS.

I had issues with the Dema pistons sticking too, never had problems with the Dema diaphragm type. I did have to replace all the ASCO diaphragm valves on the Vector because the seats eroded away.
