weep output

I set my weep up in October and don’t touch it again until April when I turn it off. I probably dump more water than i should but I don't ever have a frozen bay. We don’t hang out at the car wash during the day so it would be pretty hard to make any adjustments at the end of the day. Normally who ever does the daily cleanup/maintenance is gone by 7am.

Is that just for the hp guns? Or does that also include fb too? If it's just for the hp guns, 32 Oz per bay seems like a lot. Actually double what I'm dumping.
 
Foam brush three bays too. I threw it out as example 3/4 goes below zero my notes are at the wash..

I only go that high if it's gonna be below a certain degree level.. Most this winter it's been at a 1/4gpm behind weepmizer. The flow meter was a nice addition to confirm the flow and learn what's needed without overdoing it. Plus with the weep mizer that 1/4gpm only runs for like 15sec a minute or whatever it mizes for what the temp is, you know. It controls to full flow based on temp. Like 1/2pgm only goes full on below like 5° otherwise it's mizered out. So I'm never flowing that amount all the time. Plus we have very very heavy winds here at this rual location all the time so wind chill factors in.

Weepmizer really saves the best, and the flowmeter gives you a number to go by to say yeah it didn't freeze last night at this degree, with wind chill, with this flow, with the weepmizer settings. :)

I have to agree with Randy. Set it and forget it. Who’s got the time to make adjustments to the weep system every night the temperature changes? If it’s going to be 28 deg. tonight and down to 20 deg. tomorrow night I’m not going back to the car wash and mess with the weep system to save a dollar of water. We are going to follow Randy’s advice when it gets real cold for any length of time we are going to close down the car washes, we don’t real do enough business when it gets real cold to justify staying open.
 
Definitely whatever works for your business. I'm there about every day. I don't mess with it that much, I just don't have it weeping for 30 below when it's only 25 out.
 
I don't make changes either. I set my guns to weep about 16oz per minute and leave them at that. The weepmiser does the rest. The past few years it's gotten down to minus 16 degrees here. No freeze ups.

Set and forget here to. Thought about closing - removing hoses but that's 16 to do at a time and I have been surprised by how busy we can be with temps in the teens, even 10 degrees if cars are salty and sun is shining.
 
Last winter I had customers washing down to -5°...Yea minus 5 degrees! When it gets that cold, I shut down 2 of the 4 bays but don't pull hoses. I just blow them out with air, inject washer fluid, and put the cones up. I also have ball valves on each SFR output to the bays just to make sure I don't get any kind of bleed-over when SFR is selected from the open bays....Seems to work great. Still hard to believe people will wash down to that cold.
