Weep not working- Ginsan Ultimate

We had our first consistent cold weather in NC this weekend, and our wash froze. Our Weeping worked as needed last year, but isn’t working right now. We have a ginsan ultimate pump stand that runs the bays. The bay closest to the equipment room partially weeps, but the rest of them don’t seem to work.

Not sure what would have broke or what to check. The solenoid on the back still seems to work, we switched to a new thermal detection unit, not sure what else we need check. Any advice would be helpful.

Maybe Clogged needle valves or water filter screen? If you have needle valves, did you try adjusting them? Do you have weep solenoid shut offs for each bay that is tied to LP services when selected? If so, they could have failed or plugged? Really could be any number of things. Try disconnecting weep lines inside ER to see if you have flow.

Did you check to see if the system worked when the temps were above freezing?

Not sure if if we have needle valves. There is only one solenoid on the back of the unit, which didn’t seem to be clogged and still working. We turned up the temperature yesterday to try to get it to weep, and only bay 1, which is closest to the equipment room seemed to weep. The rest of the bays weren’t doing anything.

As 2Biz said it could just about anything. What kind of "new thermal detection unit" did you install? I weep about 13 oz. of water per minute. ,

We hooked up a new temperature control, that was for our old automated. This is wired right into the pump stand. Stumped on why the weep isn’t turning on. Worked fine last year.
I will try to get on the phone with Ginsan tomorrow.

That picture is of your rinse solenoids. There is also a weep solenoid, I believe it's going to be normally open, and there should be another weep solenoid for each bay that's also normally open. The main weep solenoid is powered until the weep comes on, and the individual weep solenoids are only powered while the timer is running to keep from diluting the low-pressure functions. Those then run to a check valve and tee on the outlet of the pump. You'll need to check all that. Nothing wrong with the thermostat you have except you'll use less weep water with a WeepMizer.

Still trying to trouble shoot. We hooked up the weep mizer which is great because we can manually turn it on or off to troubleshoot.

The main rinse solenoid we took off and it had some build up in it, so it wasn’t flowing nearly enough water. Thought that was the fix, and it helped because more bays are running water but not a lot.

There is water running through the solenoids to each bay as well, but not sure how much water there should be there. Seems a little weak to be able to run all the way out to the bays.

Not familiar with ginsan, but In all the systems I've seen there should be a check valve on each bay pump that the weep water flows through. Many systems also have little ball valves there. I've had those check valves get stuck closed and require tapping or other encouragement to get them to start flowing.

We use one 1/2” diaphragm type solenoid valve in our weep system controlled by the Weepmizer. This feeds a manifold that runs behind the pumps that supplies weep water to each individual pump with a ¼” stainless steel check valve and a needle valve. We weep about 15 ounces per minute of water from each gun and foam brush. To do this we turn off the Weepmizer and make our adjustments to get our 15 oz. per minute flow rate and then turn on the Weepmizer. In the Spring we turn off the weep system. We check this system every September to make sure it’s operating properly.

Still haven't figure out what our issue is with this. We hooked up the Weepmizer which has been great to manually turn on the weep, and know the solenoids are doing what they should be.

I know we have water running to the block that is connected to the hose that goes out to the bay. I tested the check valve and there is water running through that as well.

In the pictures attached, the red line that runs from the pump stand to our Triple foam unit for weeping, There is water running past the solenoid for each bay, but only the bay closest to the equipment room weeps.
