Weep getting back into rinse tank

GALESBURG LASER

New member
I have a problem of weep water getting back into my self serve rinse tank. At this wash i have 2 automatics and 4 self serve bays.the rinse tank has check valves below to prevent this. i drained the tank down and watched the water slowly rise thru 3 of these check valves. So i replaced 3 out of the 4 and that did not help.So i dont know what to try.Any suggestions? Thanks for looking.

I’ve had check valves not want to seal when the flow was under very low pressure. To fix this I took the spring out of the valve, stretched it a little and replaced it. If that didn’t fix the problem I stretched it some more. I’ve always been able to make them work.

:)Thank you for the replies! I have ordered a different check valve style. Ive not really had this problem before to speak of. I also had thought of the low pressure not holding check valve closed,so i will try the spring stretching as well. Thanks again!!

I find it interesting that the two best check valve companies (checkall) and (swagelok) are not sold through the two biggest carwash suppliers? I can definetly tell you that when you replace the normal junk check valves that are on 99% of carwash equipment with checks from either of these companies your problems are solved for a very long time! Im not associated with either company either, just many years of testing has proved this to me.
