Google is coming for Not-Secure sites
Google has recently announced they will label websites without a trusted SSL certificate as "Not Secure". Why? Because rules are changing on how Google determines if a site is secure. In an effort to protect customer data, Google will soon make searching the web clear to consumers what sites are "secure" or not.

What Does This Mean For You?
This means when you have visitors to your website, they will see "Not Secure" in the URL bar without an SSL Certificate. If your website takes text inputs in the form of contact forms, and is an HTTP://, you will need to implement SSL to your website if you do not want your customers to see "Not Secure" on your website.

Adding an SSL certificate to your website will have some other effects. By the end of July, Google will start giving those sites with an SSL certificate better ranking in Google.

You will also improve the perception of your brand with a "Secure" mark on your website. Your customers will be ensured they are on a valid and trusted website and will engage with you more effectively.

So, What Next?
