When the boom or side blasters are on the pump will produce 1100-1200 psi, as soon as the boom and side nozzles come on the pressure reduces to 600-700 psi. Anyone have an idea? Pump valves or high pressure dema valves leaking, no busted hoses. Thanks:confused:
 
just a couple things off to check off. You have probably already checked these

Are the nozzles worn or is a nozzle missing? Did you recently replace the "turbos" nozzles possibly with too big a cartridge? Is the medium pressure valve stuck partially open with trash in it (it recirculates back into the main water tank)? Is the rocker panel solenoid partially open? Is the undercarriage partially open? Is the pump running smoothly and in the proper direction?
 
I had this exact problem and replaced the cartridges (and cleaned the screens) in the boom turbo nozzles. That fixed it. I believe they are a #6 cartridge, which Kleenrite has in stock.
 
The boom when its on by itself the pressure is ok, its whent he side nozzles come on is when the pressure does not come up to full psi. the undercariage and rocker panel blasters dont seem to be leaking.

Have you tried to readjust the pressure regulator when the pump is on rinse from the test screen? This has all the gantry running and you can also check to see if the med.pressure is dumping back in the supply water tank, also look at the suction valve to see if it is open .
 
I had this same exact problem on 2 occasions (2 gantry's) during the last year. One was the unloader needed to be rebuilt. The other, most recent, was a busted hose in the gantry that leaked big time when the side oscillating nozzles were on, but did not leak when only the boom or rocker blasters were on. I could not see the leak in the gantry until I ran it with the side panels removed and got soaked looking in there.
 
Greg Pak is right on. My blastech nozzles were full of scale, debris and scum. Cleaned them out and runs like a charm. Pressure loss corrected.
