Water wizard 1.0 presoak spewing

Howdy y’all, so I am starting my IBA work now but the first issue is the presoak is spewing and sputtering, not good coverage. Is there an adjustment for the chemicals or air to correct this? Also, does anyone think it’s worthwhile to replace the nozzles?

thanks

Could be too much air and/or compromised nozzle openings. I would run some pure solution - no air or even just water and see what type of spray pattern your nozzles are producing.

Also - I know you didn’t ask about this, bit you are getting a lot of solution on your blower cones. That looks like it could get blown onto a clean rinsed car when drying and cause spots.

Thanks, any idea how I can prevent the buildup on the blowers? It is very windy today, that may be causing that issue.

The home position is very close to your blower nozzles. I am not familiar with your machine, but I am guessing there is not a way to adjust its home or “parked”
positioning so it is further back. Only other thing to do is move the blower out further - away from the wash, or go get some air cannon type nozzles that are positioned up high and aimed downward at a 45° angle. Neither is a simple solution, but something that you can consider down the line and will certainly take into consideration if you ever redo the bay with a new machine and blowers. You inherited this as it is, and might just have yo accept a few bugs for now. We all have been there.

Ahh, I may have found part of the issue. I removed the hydrominder and cleaned the tank and everything. Well when I put it back together I didn’t install a metering tip. I’m going to install one and see if that helps.

if this machine has been sitting for a while I would remove the nozzles and purge system before trying to expect it to perform well.

It has been running, it just doesn’t clean very well. I am going to get some good strong chemicals and try to get it cleaning as good as possible.

I did find the issue with the presoak, the diaphragm was blown out in the air regulator to the boom. It is now rebuilt and working like a champ. Just for reference, these solenoids are on the driver side in the gantry top access door. Easy fix once you find what you are looking for.

Don’t forget - the chemicals alone are not enough for a good clean. You need water quality, temperature, dwell time and high pressure water impingement working together to get the best results.

Congratulations on the presoak diagnosis - you found and fixed it yourself. That is what we all are striving for!
