Hi! I will hopefully soon be ordering a washworld profile and am wanting to know everyones experience in terms of ordering their system, to their system being built, shipped out, then arriving at your car wash location. My distributor quoted me 8-10 weeks for them to build the system, then 4 weeks to deliver to my car wash location, then 3 weeks for install. Please post your experience below :)

Sounds right, except 3 weeks install. That's lightning fast.

when they say 3 week install we are talking about replacing an existing old iba for the washworld profile... in that sense is 3 weeks still fast?
I'm not sure if a profile install is more or less difficult than an install for a razor, but for reference purposes, our distributor removed an oasis Typhoon and re-installed a Razor in one week. Removing an existing machine takes half a day to one day at most. We re-used all the back room support equipment so take that out of the equation. Being down 1 week versus 3 weeks can have a huge impact depending on the where you are located and the season.

That's one of the few things I liked about the D&S 5000, it took two of us two days to go from an empty bay to washing cars.

We ordered a Profile in June and have a ship date for mid September. Shipping can be immediate or take time as it depends on the trucking companies and their routes. The truck has more than just your profile on it and they want to drive a full rig. We have j stalled 3 Razors and each took 2-3 weeks to install. Profile is more work than a Razor as the installer needs to put the big components together on site. There was a rush of orders in June to beat the price increase in July. And sheetz is buying a boatload of profiles.

when you say ship date for mid September do you mean it will leave the WashWorld facility mid September or delivering to your location in mid September? Also where are you located? I am scared that if yours is taking this long mine is gonna take forever because I live in Hawaii XD

The date given to me by WW is the day it leaves their WI factory. They usually ship on Fridays. In all cases we received the truck the following Monday. No idea if we were lucky or just that we are in MD and WV so an easy drive from WI. Hawaii is probably a greater challenge for any manufacturer given the logistics and a boat ride plus two truck rides. If you take the long term view you will be happy with the WW products and the time you wait for it to be fully installed will become noise soon forgotten. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the info! For the price increase do you know if it is significant or if it's like a couple thousand more?

No idea as I do not have the new prices. You can ask them but really does not matter now unless you can talk them into using the June prices. Often they tweak prices of a few components or make something that was once standard an optional add-on. A less in your face way to raise prices.

If the destination is Hawaii, it will have to be in a container. Just scheduling a container to pickup is a nightmare right now. We've had it take weeks to have one brought. Also, you nor the manufacturer has any control over how long that container will sit at a west coast port waiting to be loaded on a boat. It used to be a couple of days. Now it can literally be a month or more. It's usually 5 days to Honolulu and an additional 2-4 to the other islands. I'm not sure how efficient the ports are there but I would plan on it being longer shipping that you hoped.
