Wash Controller Upgrade: MacNeil MTC or ICS Tunnel Master?

We have a 90' MacNeil Tunnel wash. We are about to do away with our 15+ year old Omron PLC. I am trying to decide if I want to go with MacNeil's MCC/MTC or ICS's Tunnel Master WBC. They both look pretty similar, but I was wondering if anyone has been in the same position and what they chose, and how it has worked for them. I'd love to hear any and all input about you guy's experience with either one of the controllers, good or bad!

We upgraded a few years ago from the MacNeil Omron PLC 4000 to Kesseltronics r.TC (this is what we bought from MacNeil) a must because the way MacNeil controls their wraps. It is not cheap, but well worth the money. I would recommend that you install a sonar to detect open or closed pickup beds that they offer. One of the many great features that is included or available.

The Kesseltronics r.TC is what im looking at also. Ive seen MacNeil call it several different names (MTC/MCC/r.TC). Right now we have our wraps running off a Mini Mac. With the r.TC we wouldn't need the Mini Mac, right? I should be able to program the wraps on a non-macneil controller, or is there something weird about them that I'm not thinking about?

I would recommend you speak with Dan Reese with Laguna in Portland, OR. He changed out our Mac 4000. In order to get the wrap to get the second pass across the back you need proper sequencing. ICS claims they have the programing, but I have not seen it.

I was just clicking on this thread to say the EXACT same thing. Dan is a carwash god. He's the best I've ever seen. You will be in good hands with him.
