Does anyone in the upstate are of SC or the WNC area have a spare controller for an RNS change machine they’d sell? Any version would probably work as I’m using an older one now. May also need a hopper.
I think I may have grenaded my recently revived RNS change machine today
. I had it running pretty flawlessly so I was comfortable buying a new lexan faceplate for it since the old one looked ancient with a severed corner hanging on by a thread. When I was done installing it, I ran a few bills through just to make sure I had put it all back together properly. On my last test bill, two of the quarters got stuck on a dangling piece of the wiring harness that had fallen into the coin path.
Well… guess who forgot to unplug it the last time he fought with the hopper to get it to sit straight: this guy! I must have shorted something somehow because there were definitely sparks. Surprised my shorts stayed clean. And naturally after getting the hopper in right and securing the harness, I’m getting a 2-3 code on the controller
. I brought the hopper home to look it over for a jam or something, but can’t see anything obvious. I forgot about the manual operation switch at the bottom of the hopper, but will check that it’s working when I’m back at the wash with it.
Very frustrating since I was so happy for getting the old machine back up and running
