voltage irregularities for Hamilton cycle inhibit

Need advice regarding how to fix voltage changes from D&S 5000 to Hamilton Cycle Inhibit relay. The change in voltage throws the Hamilton into a "Car wash in use, please wait" status. Any ideas on how to fix would be appreciated.
 
Why is the voltage fluctuating? Unless it's a problem with a supply from the 5000 (and I would think that would cause problems with it too) or the city supply, it's likely a weak wire running to the ACW. Did someone pull solid thermostat wire to it instead of an 18ga stranded bundle?
 
What do you mean by voltage changes? Did you measure it if so how? Is your cycle inhibit relay on or off when no one is washing? Either way the relay should change it's state for about 2 seconds after a wash is complete. If the relay changes state for more than 8 seconds the "car wash busy please wait" will come on. When the relay goes back to its normal state then it will say "welcome."

I don't have a D&S, but the problem most likely rests inside the ACW. I've had some crazy troubleshooting over the years, but the first step is to either switch the glass inhibit relay with either a new one, or just swap it with an adjacent one to see if the problem changes. Relays can stick, and their contacts also pit over time. Swap out the relay and report back.
 
The cycle inhibit relay likely has a different coil voltage than the rest. You may not be able to swap it with another one.
 
I have an ACW IV, and all 5 glass relays (at least in my setup) are identical. My least used wash is Item #3. I swapped out the #5 (inhibit) relay with the #3, and the inhibit problem went away, and Item #3 went goofy......
