VivoPay - Portal Ti+

Hi Guys, I am having problem with Vivopay credit card reader. The problem - It doesn't read the credit card chip, it pushes to use the magnetic strip and then transactions get cancelled. Tap to pay is working fine.

For now we restarted Portal from within and also tried rebooting by shutting off the breaker. The problem is not going away and its only in use for past 3 months.

Any solutions for it?
 
When they installed mine, he said that you may have to go into the configuration on the front of the portal when you login and go to that EMV reader and redownload or something. There was an option but can't remember what exactly it said. Sorry, that is kind of vague, but the installer said you may have to do it once in a while to get it working again if it locks up. I'm not at the wash right now or I would login.

The reader is bad. Those readers were never meant for the car wash environment. The horizontal chip reader will pool with water and ruin the contacts. The replacement is the IDTECH vp6825. After losing countless vp6800 to the same situation your talking about the vp6825 has been solid for about 6 months so far. Knock on wood. Hopefully unitec corrects this, My paystation manufacturer did.
