Anbody having any problems with the 175w mh bulbs from Venture? I replaced some and assumed I had ballast issues since the new bulbs didn't come on. So far half of the problems have been ballasts and the other half have been bad new bulbs. That $13 sale price doesn't seem so good now!

Might try e-conolight. (www.e-conolight.com). I have had very good luck w/them. Reasonably priced and free shipping for orders over $250.

I've used the Venture bulbs without a problem.

I almost bought some of the less-expensive bulbs from 1000bulbs.com, but I "chickened out" and went with the GE instead. As a rule I try to go with known brand name stuff.

I think it will be brand name and local for me from now on. This is the first time that I've had trouble with Venture but this erased all of the savings.
