A customer called today about having trouble vending a new ArmorAll TO-GO package of Auto Glass Wipes. These are a large package that is 7-inches wide, 8-inches high, and 2.5-inches thick containing 25 wipes in a resealable pouch. It is also sold in 25-wipe packs of Detailing Wipes and Cleaning Wipes. We had never seen this package before so we had to go out to buy one to test.
After the proper placement of the packs in the tray and some test vending, we were able to vend them reliably into the drop box of the vendor. Sometimes we get caught when new products are introduced into the market without our knowing about it. If operators try to vend these new products in their machine when it was not configured to do so, customer problems and frustrations can arise.
A word of advice to operators who are thinking about buying a ShurVend for your wash; tell us what products you want to vend so we can set-up the machine correctly. If you already own a ShurVend and want to change your product mix to include new packaging, check with us so we can help you do it and not become frustrated when you have trouble vending a new product.
