Turbo Nozzles-Rebuildable

Fast and Clean
Any one know of good source of rebuldable turbo nozzels? We have box full of carcasses and Giant does not have rebuild kits.

Ted

Ted, you have to get them from Mark VII. I have rebuilt many of them and a lot of them were to no avail. They get a groove worn inside the "carcass" and seem to last only a short time if you throw a kit it a worn one. I had to take a new one apart and compare it to a worn one to see what the issue was. I seldom rebuild one now, since it seems that most of them have significant wear.

All that being said, I saw that Mark VII had an all SS nozzle on the new machines at the ICA show. Did you see them? I was told that they would replace the ones we are using now. I don't remember if they will furnish rebuild kits or not. I'm assuming they will.

In the Windtrax catalog there's one that says "no moving parts" which would make you think there's nothing to wear out, but I don't use oscillating nozzles and have never tried them.

I have a quick solution to your nozzle problem, Took me many years before it dawned on me. Both the side and top nozzles are very easy to fix with no money spent. This is how i do it..... I take the nozzle apart pull the guts out put a screw driver in the end and pop out the o-ring with the plastic. Now you have a empty shell.... Take a 1/8th inch pipe tap run it in the hole and put in a regular every day ol Nozzle. If it Is a mark 7 use a 0503 for the top and a 0502 for the side. I thought this was a great idea and yes it works just fine.
