What length of wand and tip size do you use on your truck bays? I'm thinking of a 36" wand with a grip and 1506 tip. I'm pushing this with a 7.5HP motor and a 5CP6120 Cat pump. Do I need to have a larger orifice than .60? I would like to run this between 1500-1800 PSI.

Thanks,
Lighthouse

That pump is max 1500 PSI. You could run an 08 tip at 1800 PSI with a 5CP2120W at its max RPM. The 5CP6120 is max 7.4 GPM, so you could run a larger tip than 08 at 1500.

Length of wand just needs to fit your and your customers' needs. I've seen a wash with 6' wands, kind of ridiculous since his bays aren't even 14' wide.

08 tip and higher at 1500 psi is a workout

I use a 2506 tip 36 wand. I have truck bays that run 24 hours a day. Extremely busy truck wash and we switch to general pump with stainless head. Zero wash out and have clocked 11,000 motor pump hours without seals best switch ever made 32 years and counting truck wash Kleen rite GPEHT2214SR
