Tri foam VS Air Dryers

Hello everyone ,

Looking to invest in another function at my self serve wash in Canada , recently added one air dryer and seems to be doing ok.

if you had the option to install a tri foam or dryers which route would you go ?

Triple foam seems to be non existent in my province , can you run it in the winter ? Is the air logic from kleen rite the most cost effective option ?

Thanks

I would add both, triple foam first then air dryer, if budget requires spreading them out. They make winter tri-foam chemicals, don't know if they'll work for Canada cold temperatures. There is also an automatic air/washer fluid blow down system that seems to work well for some of the northern climate members on this forum.

I'm with Keno, I did air dryers the first two years of ownership. They paid for themselves in 1 1/2. Installed a new Ginsan Tri/foam unit that year and been a big hit. Often, I see people taking pictures as they use them. Keeping them in the bay with the clock running is key. Good luck.

my tri foam gets alot of use but i have had it for 20 years, so customers got to like it over time. it's got great show and scent. i do red white and blue and i cheat a little bit by using simoniz foam additive mixed with water for my white color. i use simoniz uvp for red and blue. i use the antifreeze chems to keep it running all winter. customers still want to use all the functions no matter how cold it gets.

air blowers are great also. gets alot of use. you can't beat the profit!

do both if possible.

I agree with everyone above. The key to both of these is making sure you have good function. For the trifoam, have something that looks, smells and most importantly performs great - meaning it adds gloss and water repellency. For the blowers, make sure the instructional signage is clear so that the customer knows they have to use a wax or clearcoat protectant before the rinse so that the water actually beads and can be blown off.

How do you like the uvp? We were considering switching to that, don't know how it would work with ceramic though, we have that in all our self serves at this point.

I ll throw a wrench in this.
I converted my tri foam to hot wax then to ceramic!
I sell way more ceramic thru that red gun than I ever did tri foam or hot wax.
Customers are much happier!

I like my air driers as well!
