Touch free vs soft touch

When you say pay out a damage claim? Can you elaborate? I was planning to put signage that says not responsible for mirrors, antennas.. etc.. what is an example of a claim and how much do you pay?

I utilize a damage claim policy very similar to tunnels. My main exemptions are antennas, aftermarket equipment, vehicles over ten years old, previous damaged vehicles and driver negligence. I do instruct customers to fold in their mirrors and lower their antenna. In 60K cars I've paid for a couple of side view mirrors (one because the camera system was down and I had to take the guy's word for it) , one Hyundai sharkfin antenna (before I knew better) , and a handful of rear wiper arms. Most years total claims have been a couple hundred bucks or less.

Before I had a friction unit I was a little concerned because it seemed my tunnel friends are constantly dealing with claims. In the IBA environment It's just not a big deal if someone every 6 months calls and says they lost a $35 wiper arm. I don't question it, I go get them one and install it. Compare that cost to touch free chemical and water costs which are probably $1/car more than soft cloth.

I have owned Two Friction In Bays and love the Cleaning, and the smaller chemistry & water sewer expenses I have chosen to currently just use Touch free In bays because they require less daily supervision and that they let me offer Touch Free which I feel is important for marketing. Greg is correct about Friction and damage claims. Not a big deal, unless something very bad goes wrong. Which is why you have insurance and cameras
