Usually I like bubbles, they pay well... And I really like the Topaz valves when using hot water... The problem I have is that the valve outlet has an oval opening and just kind of sprays the water out the bottom. This aerates the water in the tank and creates pump cavitation intermittently... Has anyone ran into this and thought of a quick fix...? I hate that the outlet isn't threaded, as a drop tube would solve the problem immediately.

Or find a piece of hose large enough to stretch over the oval opening.

Yeah, I just went to the hardware store and found tubing with the same diameter, then I bought a stainless hose clamp. I had to bend the hose clamp to get it to contour well. But its been like that for years now with no problems.

I'll try out the hose thing. I didnt think there was more than a 1/4" of meat there to clamp to, but if it worked for you, then there is hope for me... thanks!

I just installed mine below the water level and now there are no bubbles. I used the string to attach the float.
