I’m going to rebuild my Trusco water softener downflow. It’s a Fleck 2900 and I’m looking for the stuffer tool for putting the seals and spacers back in and the tool to pull the spacers and seals also. My question is, is there a cheaper route other than buying these tools online which will cost me $800. The 2900 has two different size pistons so it takes separate tools for each piston to do the rebuild.

Replace with Clack valves. You'll then be able to replace the seal/spacer stack w/out special tools, remove the injector w/o tools, access the blfc w/o tools. You're currently dealing with dinosaur technology.
