Token/coin separator….?

Greetings!

My AccuBanker 610 token/coin separator worked beautifully for 3.5 years, and now has issues…

I have returned it to the mfg in Miami twice and the unit started smoking again today and stopped working…

Their engineer thinks it has something to do with my electricity/current, which seems odd….?

They are offering me a slight discount if I buy a new unit from them, but I’m wondering if you could recommend a better unit for separating my tokens from the quarters that customers bring us….

Thanks in advance!

We've used a Scan Coin 303 for 20 years and the only part I ever had to replace was the drive gear.
Got the gear from Kleen-Rite for $24 last year (It was my fault the gear broke, I dropped it)
Kleen-Rite sells most of the parts you would ever need for this machine here.
KR sells it new for $1,050 but there is a used one on e-bay for $295 here. (it's practically the same as the one Randy linked to. Bullet proof design imho)

-just as an aside, I can't wait for the day I no longer take or count quarters, maybe a year or two.
Today a young girl was trying to tap one of my remaining swipers with her phone... 🤷‍♂️

I went token only this year, and it took 3 months of clearing jams from the coin mechs before everyone figured it out. Best thing ever however we still get $20-30 a week of people that bring a bag of quarters and want to change them for tokens. I know I miss a few customers but I am also missing around 2000 tokens in that 3 months. That’s around a $1600 profit so I’ll leave the bag of quarters people behind.

We did the same about 3 years ago at one location to reduce vandalism. Stopped it cold. We advertise credit card and tokens only but still take a quarter if someone tries. We get about $450 a month and dropping fast.
